Better than Cagayan? Now I'm super pumped!

Especially since 5 or 6 years would take us back to the days of Gabon, Tocantins, and HvV. Ummm... Hell. Yes.

I'm really glad they're giving So a second chance after her and her sister were pulled from SJDS. Hopefully she's a worthwhile castmember.

God I hope not, that's such a terrible twist IMO.

That's the rumor floating around. However, I trust Redmond, his sources are generally accurate and he has no idea what the twist/theme is yet. Perhaps it will be three random tribes, and the season will be named after a new game-changing twist (i.e. Exile Island/Redemption Island).

Gabon and Tocantins were heavily underrated seasons, especially Tocantins, so I'm super excited. The casting directors have been doing a great job though these last few seasons: Philippines, Blood vs. Water, Cagayan, San Juan del Sur (I'm really enjoying this cast surprisingly) and apparently this new season.

I hope the twist is different

Even if it is social class, it's not going to be a big deal. Like Brawn vs Brains vs Beauty, it really only impacts the first four episodes, then a swap happens.

Still I hate the idea, the lowest class people are probably gonna get the sympathy edit and the rich will get the entitled one.

There's so much more that goes into a season so we can't say this as a certainty.

Sorry but Cagayan was essentially a perfect season to me. Of course the underdogs it didn't end exactly how I wanted it to, but overall I feel like you can't get any better than that season in this era of Survivor.

From productions view, a season like Caramoan was AMAZING because of all the blindsides and drama that happened during the season. But when it's edited for TV it turns out horrible. So i'm not getting my hopes up.

Fresh Meat#14

I do love Cagayan, but it had its flaws. Premerge was great, but postmerge became way too focused on Tony/Spencer, when Trish, Tasha, and Jefra could have benefitted from more screen-time. With proper, fair camera time, we could have a ******* FLAWLESS season with Tony, Spencer, Trish, Kass, Tasha, Jefra and then supporting characters like Woo, JTia, LJ, and Morgan. Still a very good season though.

If this season truly is better than Cagayan, we are in for a wild ride, I can't wait! December needs to get here so we can at least get a title, haha!

Yeah, so far, I like the cast. Those three based on their pictures alone seem unique.

And apparently Carolyn, in particular, is a BIG fan and has applied many times. Nothing against recruits, but I love when fans who applied get on.

Nina is a big fan as well. I'm getting good vibes from this cast, even if it's just from the pictures, haha!

Just based off pictures, they seem very unique and fun. I love that 30 will come a lot sooner than 29, as it's only like a month wait for preseason interviews haha.

That summer wait for the odd numbered seasons is always a *****!

Hopefully she doesn't suck at life either.

Exactly.

Redmond said the season title will not feature any kind of X versus Y, and instead will be akin to Exile/Redemption Island or One World. There were rumors of a pirate theme, perhaps there's a new twist called Shipwreck Island or something?

That Igor troll on Survivor Sucks gives me life.

pretty bummed we aren't getting a "Legends" season... I know everyone is sick of them bringing back AS... but it just would've been perfect to cap off a 30 season run with an ultimate season of past veterans (from a pool of contestants that have been on 2 or more seasons)

maybe one day...

I think it's even better because the show recently has gotten so much life restored to it: BvW/Cagayan doing very well, Survivior beating Idol in ratings, it feels like a reinassiance, so to speak lol. I think they're saving that kind of season for later down the line, because of how well all-new casts are doing and have learned from their mistakes with RI, SP, and OW.
