48 is worst. Zero question. Sai did her best but it couldn't bring it to even #47 in the rankings.

Island of the Idols is the worst season of all time and it would take a nuclear bomb level of shit in the last two episodes for 48 to get under it.

I agree with this, even ignoring the controversy that season, the actual island of the idols theme is the worst theme by far. Spending like 15 minutes an episode to waste on rob & Sandra who weren't even playing was terrible.

I loved the gameplay of that season, the whole Dan/Kellee thing was icky and weird but if you can look past that you can enjoy it

39 was not a bad season.  Rob and Sandra were a waste of time, but the cast was solid.

Tommy, Lauren, Missy and Dean probably would have been multi season players if Probst didnt elimination fan favorite seasons.

There should have been at least 3 of the following themes between 41 and now.

2nd Chances, Game Changers, Heroes Vs Villians, Blood vs Water, Fan vs Faves

48 had an okay premerge but because it was so male-dominated and none of them were ever charismatic narrators, it felt really dull. Sai could only do so much but then we lost her before the jury which so ****** stupid because we were like two episodes into the merge already.

This season may not be the all time worst but it's up there with 43 for the worst new era season.

Never forget that the first Dark Age of Survivor 21-24 + 26, happened because Probst was actively trying to get the show cancelled so he could focus on his dumb talk show. It's only when his dumb talk show got cancelled (and he realized that if Survivor went too he would have to go back to obscurity) that the quality of Survivor magically recovered to watchable. He sucks and should've been dropped years ago. Let Tyson host the show.

What I find funny is that (in my opinion) 21, 23, 25, and 26 were all good seasons, and the only bad season among those seasons is 22 with 24 being just okay. 34-39 is the real "dark age" of the show.
