I don't understand why people think these ratings are bad. 

It's not awful for MTV standards but it's a pretty significant drop and not the direction you want your show heading.

Maybe they should bring back johnny flopnanas *giggles*

There are no excuses. The promotion was horrible and of course putting 60% foreign rookies won't encourage viewers

The drop is a network and cable issue not just this show. If you compared ratings from now to a year ago most of not all shows on cable have gone down especially the ones on MTV that stays playing ridiculousness no stop

Not a single cast remember have that type of impact on ratings.

The network executives at MTV need to be fired and replaced with someone who isn't an absolute moron.

The Survivor person I liked the most is already gone.  I also never said I or anyone would watch just for Tommy--just that he was an obvious cast choice

It's foolish to just see the drop and not put it into context IMO but yeah it's a big drop that won't have much/any impact on future decisions

Right--they're going to cancel their number 1 rated show based on a week of summer ratings. 

Hopefully they're smartest moving forward about when they air it though

The ratings are not available until Wednesday! But the challenge was number 1 on cable so that was lower

Not gonna lie RHOBH is kinda eating this year definitely been watching that on Wednesday nights 

What I don't get is if the challenge is mtv highest rated show then why don't they air it more whether it be repeats of the new episode/season or reruns of older seasons 

the CEO basically said it's harder to repeat a show that's a continuation type show than a show like Ridiculousness or the new incarnation of Cribs were you can jump straight in & don't need a backstory -- nonetheless I still think they could do random marathons at least once a month

I'm not in the marketing department so it's not my job to even stress over rating numbers but like I said last week compared to last season these ratings are not that good 

The agents theme has become so corny, it's almost embarrassing. It's very Nickelodeon feeling. There are too many randoms from shows people have no interest in and the viewers are probably going to complain about their accents unfortunately. This might be biased but most of the vets aren't appealing. They are annoying and tired. I don't see the ratings improving. Everyone has to be tired of this PG agents trash thing going on. I just hope ratings increase on the episodes with drama so they realize that's what we want and quit with the family friendly version we have now.

this! I don't think people care about these new characters like they think they will & I think people want a different vibe and more familiar faces
