Behind the Screen: The Duel 2: Finale - Episode Discussion

For over two decades, MTV's The Challenge has been the proving ground where reality TV's fiercest competitors come to cement their legacies. What started as a Real World/Road Rules spinoff has evolved into one of the most physically and mentally demanding competition series on television.

The franchise's expansion — with spinoffs in the USA, UK, Argentina, and Australia — speaks to a global appetite for the brand of cutthroat competition and alliance-driven gameplay that Vevmo's community has been tracking since 2007.

Love how Rachel clearly beat all of the men in the final mission. Hands down she was HBIC this season and she more than redeemed herself from her Island catastrophe...

I wouldn't say hands down. She caught up to Brad & Evan only because they had to wait for a female partner.

If it was a head to head race she wouldn't have won.

I agree. She would have been far behind them if it was head to head.

But, she still beat Brad and Evan on the second half of the event. Brad should had been infront of her, and Evan should had pass her.

I don't think they would be that far ahead of Rachel. She clearly had more in her than Brad. I am kinda surprised that she finished before anybody else.

Okay I can Admit that Evan is a good competitor....But he's one of the most Unlikable people to ever be on these shows IMO.

Well, we know that you're not a big fan of the Fresh Meaters in general. However, for as many people like you that don't like Evan, there are the same number of people that think he's a very likable character.

Rachel seemed to really not do much for the team when her and Brad were together either. Her & Evan were clearly good friends on this challenge and she even said in an interview that she was disappointed that she would have Brad for a partner and not Evan when she got to that point in the race. Brad clearly harbors some sort of resentment towards her for not putting forth 100% when they were together during the race. With as shady as Rachel is I wouldn't put it past her for a second to have dogged it on purpose with Brad (since she knew she could beat Britt & Aneesa) just to give her friend Evan a better chance at catching up and winning. I noticed that Brad & Rachel took off quite a bit ahead of Evan (before Britt was even there) and they had a very healthy lead, and Rachel didn't really seem interested in going 100% again until Evan and Britt arrived at the dumpster with the last leg of the race yet to go.

First of all, I'm new here, so hello all. :) Now, on the subject of Evan. I actually was a fan of his all season. Something about his humor (as mean as he can sometimes be) really struck with me. I think his real sense of humor was actually shown best in the dailies, not the show. However, I can understand how this side of him might be... rather, unliked by others. Anyway, on my whole opinion of this episode, since I'm here. I was pretty fine with the winners. I actually didn't really have any girls I liked all season once Katie was gone, so Rachel winning was kind of... meh, but anyone would have been. And, like I said, I liked Evan.
