i love seeing oldschooler enjoying the show (tho people ARE playing the game this season... the dupe coin and tribe changes, although a gimmick, has welcomed some increased gameplay and strategy)
As a 20+ year long fan, I'm glad I'm enjoying it too because last season was ROUGH. And don't get me wrong I actually LOVE the birdcage and think it's one of the only good gimmicks from the new era. I probably only complained about the gimmicks bc I don't like when they go to the island risk votes, lose votes, or get 3 idols lol. But it hasn't been bad this season!

No more Stephenie storylines. Jeff confirmed on his podcast that if a tribe gets down to two people, it will be dissolved like on the Philippines because there's no majority vote. He's so out of touch. I have been waiting for years for there to be a tribe that shrinks down to one person that has to either compete alone and gets eliminated if they don't finish first or they make the merge and become a huge underdog story line. Sigh
he also touched on the topic of idols and said that the art team purposely makes idols look cheap now, so that it's easier for players to create fake idols, and make it believable
Jeff needs fired. Ruined a perfectly good show.

Lol sorry! I think Probst is an out of touch moron who has ruined this show. He's a sexist fake woke narcissist. He is creepy and an absolute loser. But I've been trying to increase my likability factor by being less negative lol so I refrained from saying anything.
Does anyone else feel like new players can't feel epic anymore? Pretty much all the rookies cast after second chance don't feel epic to me. For example, when they heroes versus villains cast walked onto the beach for the first time it felt like watching a movie with an Allstar a list cast that you would have never imagined being on screen together. Even Second Chance returnees for the most part felt epic. I can't imagine putting together a cast of 20 returnees from the seasons after that and feeling shook by any of the returnees except Natalie napalm, Richard, and Shan. Even an epic challenge beast archetype like Jonathan won't feel as special as an Ozzy return. Maybe it's because I'm grown now and don't view reality tv stars as superheroes now. Or the edit makes the players too personable with their backstories always being brought up. Hm
I agree with that. Parvati, Jerri, Sandra, Stephenie and others I'm forgetting in that intro was so insane to see. Now it'll be Christian and other snoozes I just can't get behind.

I honestly laughed out loud several times during this episode. Carolyn's reaction to Brandon and Danny and then Yam Yam breaking Josh's "idol" and laughing about how it was fake was so funny
Yam Yam, Josh, and Carolyn definitely have Matthew's medevac to thank for when they were so close to either blindside Josh or Carolyn and I really would have liked her to go in case the bootlist on the internet is wrong. So far in the remaining merge players, Danny is my favorite since he may be a jock but he's an amusing and nice one. Hope he goes far.
