Behind the Screen: Survivor 43 - Episode Discussion (No Spoilers)

Big Brother remains one of the most-watched summer staples in American television, with its unique format of 24/7 live feeds giving superfans an unmatched window into the social dynamics of the game.

The show's blend of strategic gameplay, showmances, and blindsides has fueled one of the most dedicated online fanbases in reality TV — and Vevmo has been at the center of that conversation for years.

So many good ways to keep the show fresh and good but the best Probst can come up with is a stupid unfair hourglass twist...

Yeah they need to go back to two tribes for a little.

I'm also very happy that the strong comp beast didn't win again. I don't think a non comp beast has won since josh

No tribes every immunity is individual the first half of people to finish our immune and don't have to go to tribal in the half that are not immune have to go to tribal together.

Honestly I want a season with no tribes. The keep the tribe strong argument is so tired at this point. They should have an individual season.

They need to go back to 2 tribes. I feel like smaller tribes lead to the "keep the tribe strong" argument being used so often and it's annoying

2 tribes is the best format i agree.

I've been saying this for years!

Love this take and would definitely freshen things up and change the tribal/strategy dynamics. They'd have to really vary the challenges up though so there isn't always a huge physical advantage

I could see this being done in the near future it's not an original idea. I can see an altered version of this because production would hate filming 20 people compete at the same time and there's a chance an entire alliance will immediately throw themselves into tribal to take out their target who was out right away and could make for annoying tv. I can see them competing in 1 on 1 duels, winner is immune, loser goes to tribal. Duels can either be random or even better you pick your opponent like on MTV The Duel. Probst draws a name, you walk out of line and select your opponent. Do you duel someone you want to vote out (but physically can't do it yourself) or duel an ally?

But then again I could see a Jonathan dominating this portion of the game but that's when it's up to the challenge coordinator to create unique never before seen competitions on Survivor to really even the playing field. Someone like Sandra or Cirie would THRIVE in this format. She doesn't need immunity and can adapt very well.

Aw now I got myself excited for something that won't happen

Yeah. Survivor is now and forever 3 tribes in Fiji acting like the show had a profound impact on their life with a bunch of sob stories, cheesy analogies at tribal, and stupid confusing advantages. Never expect more.

ChampionDarrell#132

This season gets 2-3 more episodes for me otherwise I'm done

Why is this a 90 minute episode......

lavendarveto#135

im falling asleep

timster3#136

Well it just got interesting lol I really do not understand why people would use a beware  advantage while on a tiny tribe. People are so desperate to gatekeep every advantage they find when statistics show winners tend to have less advantages than the rest of the cast.

Challenge 17#137

Cody is so ******* stupid

DScott#138

Hahha I'm loving this, the team effort to get the beads is great

timster3#139

Zzzz not enough time for a tie. My balls are blue

Challenge 17#140

We better get a female winner because these men are either boring or insufferable

DScott#141

Haha I'm enjoying it

DScott#142

Splitting that vote was so silly

anon12423452355...#143

Why was that 90 minutes. So boring.

amandagarciaisaqueen#144

Y'all are all so negative about Survivor omg! If you're bored don't watch!

I like the show, it's definitely gone down hill A LOT but still ok enough to watch. I'm just calling out that a two hour episode followed by 90 minutes is not necessary and it's drug out...especially when it's mainly sob stories.

ChampionDarrell#146

Cody should go on the challenge

ChampionDarrell#147

that therapist person is like a carbon copy of michelle if she was older

timster3#148

This show has turned into childhood trauma stories. What would you say about your childhood to get tv time on modern Survivor? It has to relate to the show. I ain't spilling my tea but y'all go ahead and share.

flyguy#149

i kinda agree, even with these people giving their traumatizing stories im still  bored. EVERYONE doesnt have to trauma dump, its like they trying to force character development. I miss when we had an array of characters who didnt all have an emotional story to tell.

we will never have another gabon again.

anon12423452355...#150

I don't get why every reality show thinks we need to hear everyones sob story. We get it, everyone struggles. I don't want to watch fun competition to see who can one-up with the saddest story. Zzz...give me fun, entertainment, and good gameplay. So out of touch.

ChampionDarrell#151

I blame Ben
