Behind the Screen: Streaming Giants - General Discussion

The reality TV landscape has never been more crowded or more diverse. From dating shows to competition series to docusoaps, networks and streamers are betting big on unscripted content.

What sets the great shows apart is their ability to create genuine moments — the kind of unscripted drama that no writer's room could manufacture. That's what keeps fans coming back.

Nothing will ever compare to the end scene of season one. It was truly incredible and still gives me chills.

I wish Netflix would obtain the rights to Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra. The two greatest cartoons of all time. Korra was a masterpiece we were not worthy of.And the rumors (and an April Fools prank) of a third series called The Twin Legends... Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhh **** me.

I want a third entry so bad. Korra was AMAZING especially the 2nd season explaining the origins of the avatar. I know where both full series are at if you want to watch it btw  window.post_1496360670464_5 = function(win,msg){ win.postMessage(msg,"*"); }

Where at!?

I'm SOOOOO excited for The Defenders! I know what I'll be binge watching all this weekend

House of Cards cancelled over Kevin Spacey sexual assault claims. Kind of shocked they pulled the plug with how successful it was, but with the circumstances I could understand I guess

HonestTea101#247

Also, am I the only one who thinks the quality of Netflix has gone down drastically? A lot of popular shows have been taken off an the stuff they're adding are things I've never even heard of.

I got a hulu finally and besides the commercials the amount of things on it are far surperior IMO

Woooooowwww so quickly? There’s just been the one claim with Spacey, right? That’s their first big hit wasn’t it?

Slasher season 2 >>>>>>>>>>>

i started season 2 first and am beginning season 1 now but I’m told season 2 is wayyyy better. Makes sense since season 1 was with that Chiller station and Netflix took over for season 2.

According to the network they already planned this and that this has nothing to do with the Spacey claims and honestly giving the way how they ended last season, it made sense with the series ending at Season 6. But glad that they announced it right now!

Yep that was their first break out hit which lead to them creating all that original content. Well if GD is right then it was probably planned with now being an a good(bad) time to announce

House of cards got stale after season 2 so it’s no big loss that the show is ending. There’s only so much I could take of “The Underwoods are doing evil things and getting away with it.”

No spoilers but the S5 ending was well done, although I didn't like how the entire season was only a span of like 2 weeks for the most part.

Hulu >>>>> Netflix tbh

I like netflix because of their original shows, but having to wait until the end of seasons to watch shows is annoying as ****, so in that sense Hulu has them beat by far.

I havent seen s5, heard mostly bad reviews about it, but i may give it a shot now that we know this series will end soon.

Hulu has better unoriginal content lolol. Like Dawson's Creek, BH90210, Felicity, Boy Meets World.

But they also have The Handmaids Tale which is the best original show to ever exist from a streaming site.

Yessss, I started Dawson's Creek the other day but got busy and forgot about it, but I have all of them on my watchlist, plus The OC, all the Star Trek shows, etc.

Tha Handmaid's Tale is immaculate. That show was the reason I even got a Hulu account. I feel like Hulu has been picking up a lot of steam recently so I'm expecting them to keep coming up with some good new shows. They already have a Marvel show coming out next month.

Is this your first time watching Dawson's Creek? It's hands down my favorite tv show of all time besides The Golden Girls. I rewatch it once a year Lmaoooo

Black Mirror season 4 yall

Razor#264

Anyone who's a star wars fan should totally watch Star Wars: The Clone Wars (series). The first season is silly  since it was on Cartoon Network, but it gets very mature starting with season 2 and you get background story arcs of minor characters from the prequels. And of course see more of Anakin's turn to the dark side

Thats a shame! I’ve read pretty mixed reviews of this season which has bummed me out. But I’m going to start tonight.

Metalhead is the only one I disliked tbh. Arkangel is decent, and I haven't seen Black Museum yet but the other three are amazing.
