Agreed. Ex-Plosion is my second favorite season of the Real World. It was great from start to finish and I loved the cast. I'm happy they ditched that old played out theme song too. The show is just way more fun and hip now. I love it! However, this season seems like it'll be way to deep. Ex-Plosion was hilarious as hell. And now they're going to like therapy. Plus, what happens that week when people don't have guest? Like what will their storyline be? 

The "old played out" one was so much better then the ****** one on ex-plosion. That wasn't even a intro it was just stupid. The season itself was good tho. The show can be deep, but that doesn't mean it can't be funny at times. Besides this twist works with everyone and probably will bring a lot of drama.

Better BETTER yet, that dude that convinced him to do it. He'd probably creep the others out even more.  Vegas could've had a few good ones. The dude Adam robbed. Mike Mike's dad (I don't remember if he's dead or not...?). 

Jay Needs to Shut the hell up. This twist is actually good and has more substance than Ex-plosion. I really think that this will bring back some of what this show has been missing..Getting to know the Roomates and having some insights on them as people. Not just the usual Drunken College Frat **** Fest this show has been for years now. I'm all for it.

What better way to create a show that disects how humans naturally behave when forced to live with X amount of people than to deliberately set up all of the drama multiple times throughout the season.  Seriously, if every person has one new skeleton every other episode, that means we're getting 42 skeletons.  FOURTY-TWO.  It completely defeats the entire purpose of The Real World.  I don't care if people say "Well maybe it'll be good tv" because a ton of drama does not mean good.  Skeletons work when they're natural and come out on their own, not when a group of producers forceably drag them out because they want to.

It's a rotating basis , the most a roommate will get is 2 surprise visits.

Also, I agree that there is obviously some manipulation involved, but honestly this twist sounds closer to old school RW than much of what we've seen from the show in the past few seasons. Sure, the drama is somewhat set-up, but who knows how the cards will fall? We may get a chance to see some real moments between these people. Plus, I'm sure the whole season isn't going to be some melodrama. I actually like this twist. And I hated the idea of a twist, and I hated the Ex-Plosion idea but grew to be pleasantly surprised by the season. I'm personally looking forward to this season more though because the initial cast seem more like real humans, whereas Ex-Plosion were basically all models/actors.

They should try a normal Season if there is a Season 31 in an original city as well.

I'm probably the only person who didn't really care for Vegas2. I like dthe cast though, but only tuned in for Dustin's scandal.

The problem is getting people to watch the show period, not like the cast. How are they gonna like or dislike the cast when they don't even care to watch a show or anticipate a new season to begin with. The show is just played out guys. 

If anything that's good for The Challenge because the loyal The Challenge fanbase will watch and guarentee at least .9 ratings regardless of the season.

You're good. I don't see The Challenge going anywhere just yet!

However, it really will depend on how next summer's big shows fair in ratings whether we see past season 28 or not. If I were at the head of the network and Shannara and Eye Candy do manage to bring MTV back to its glory days, I would do everything to maintain those numbers, axing anything that fails to hit the 1.5 to 2 million mark (above 1 at the absolute minimum). 

I talked about this in the scripted TV thread, but you, and everyone else, better pray that Shannara hits the viewership mark MTV is banking on. The more people that watch it, the more people to see Challenge promos. The more people who see those promos, the more people who will actually tune in to watch The Challenge!

WOW so if you think about it, if that one person who mentioned Dustin's past never commented on Vevmo and no one else on Vevmo ever knew about it and production never said anything, then the entire storyline of Las Vegas 2 would be completely different.
