Behind the Screen: The Real World - International Seasons

For over two decades, MTV's The Challenge has been the proving ground where reality TV's fiercest competitors come to cement their legacies. What started as a Real World/Road Rules spinoff has evolved into one of the most physically and mentally demanding competition series on television.

The franchise's expansion — with spinoffs in the USA, UK, Argentina, and Australia — speaks to a global appetite for the brand of cutthroat competition and alliance-driven gameplay that Vevmo's community has been tracking since 2007.

Just catch up on Acapulco shore and wow Diego guy sucks such a classist dbag. No wonder their audience is dragging him and the other midget on social media in a daily basis...

Btw production favoritism is also showing on that show Capitan shouldn't have been sent home while Jaylin and little guy are allow to stay after hitting ppl

Former castmembers like Mane and Jawi were allowed to ban people, of course there's favoritism.

Zack from Real World Bangkok would be perfect for the challenge and representation. American who speaks fluent Thai.

true. bangkok rw was savage too as well.

CosmicDiva#101

I had no idea they had Mexican and Thai versions of RW. They should've been casting those that speak decent enough English on the challenges if they're gonna be casting internationals anyway

nothing special. If Justin Blu wasn't cast on the challenge, no real world rookies should be.

There is no way Justin would have any interest in a Challenge. They should give Arely a one episode teen mom special to see if that audience likes her.

Dondre should've gotten the token gay slots over Corey

Youssarian#105

Justin was boring and useless on Real World. Arely, I liked her but she was boring too and would get eaten up on the Challenge lol.

I never finished Mexico because they never put subtitles on all the episodes but I think Sofia spoke English and she was messy so they couldve cast her on a Challenge.

As for Bangkok, Zack would be good because he was an American and he was messy af! All the drama revolved around him. They should ditch Nam and use him as their token Asian (not saying that's an appropriate method of casting but that's what they seem to be going for). One of the girls too, Ploy, would be PERFECT for the Challenge. She was a boxer and an extremely interesting, dynamic person and the show revolved around her and Zack. Sadly she doesn't speak English though.

Is the Zack guy athletic?
