List your top 3 personal Challenge outcomes that most satisfied you as well as the 3 most dissapointing. This isn't a list of your favorite/least favorite Challenges, per say, but rather who ended up winning at the end. It's not about the actual Challenges themselves but how satisfying/dissapointing the results were for you personally.
Most Satisfying:
3. The Duel- Wes: The Duel was my first Challenge I ever watched starting around halfway through the season. I had no idea who any of the people were or their stories up to this point. After witnessing Wes beat Derrick in a brutal battle of Duel Pole Dancing and then crying to his girlfriend Johanna over the phone (who I had no idea who she was) I decided I was rooting for him. Watching him manipulate Evan into facing CT near the end of the game was brillant, and he ended up winning. This Challenge would probably rank higher for me if Svetlana had won for the girls; I wasn't a big fan of Jodi's.
2. Rivals 2- CT & Wes: This was not a very good challenge but in the end the result was worth it. CT finally getting his first win was extremely satisfying after all of the Challenges he had participated in, not to mention he had been one of the best competitors ever to be on the show and had countless accolades and daily Challenge wins under his belt. The icing on the cake was that they beat out Johnny and Frank, two of my most hated Challenge competitors. On the female side of things this show shouldn't have even had a female competition. It was clear just from reading the initial cast that Paula and Emily were going to dominate and win. It was boring and a pain to watch. I don't mind Emily and she deserved her first win, but I'm not on the Emily bandwagon like most other fans are. Watching Paula get handed another win with another dominant partner was also dissapointing. I wanted Cooke and Cara to win.
1. Fresh Meat 2- Landon & Carley: Fresh Meat 2 was a decent Challenge but certainly nothing special. I watched Cutthroat before I watched this one, and somewhere along the way I was under the impression that I heard that Kenny and Laurel had won this Challenge. During watching it and seeing them dominate the entire show, I was thinking the whole time that they won it. Landon, being my all time favorite Challenge competitor, winning this alone was extremely shocking for me and satisfying. On top of that, the way in which he ended up winning it was nothing short of amazing. Being dealt the last pick for the guys at the opening draft selection he was left with the worst statistical girl Carley (who was not the worst girl in the end but in the draft was ranked worst). He teamed up with Wes and ended up getting screwed over which seemed to spell out him going home. The midnight exile was the most epic elimination round I've ever witnessed because of how he motivated Carley throughout it and through impossible odds they pulled through it. Evelyn's meltdown on Luke adds to this elimination round's epicness for me. Then on to the Final he masterfully motivated Carley once again to somehow beat out Kenny who had the top girl Laurel. This was a suprise for me because the whole way I thought Kenny and Laurel were the winners. Overall, because it was Landon who won, with an out of shape partner, with master motivation skills, and because it was a shock to me this was the most satisfying win in Challenge history for me.
Most Dissapointing:
3. The Duel 2: This one started out bad because one of the top competitors CT was eliminated on the first day due to the infamous fight with Adamn King, already making the show and competition less interesting (Not to mention we got MJ in his place, which don't even get me started on MJ). The entire show was dominated by Landon and I was loving it the enitre way. Fast forward to late in the game on the Final Duel selection, and the guys agree they are gonna each write down the name of who they want in the Duel and throw it in a hat; most votes goes in. Right before the vote Landon goes to get the hat, and Evan, the sneaky ******* that he is, coherses Brad and Mark to all vote Landon. This was done because Landon was the most dominant athlete and he was the most feared in a Final. This was a brillant strategic move by Evan but dissapointing for me and pissed me off. On to the Duel it's Landon vs. Brad. The game is tied up and it's match point. Brad pulls the most brillant elimination play in Challenge history and tosses Landon's ring giving him just enough time to clip his ring and win. My favorite player in the game got DPed (excuse the language), first politically and then on a god send in the elimination round, leading to his only loss in his career. I was devastated. Then on to the Final. Evan ends up beating out Brad by seconds which was dissapointing, because for the second time on BOTH Duels, Brad lost by seconds. Evan winning was also dissapointing for me. On the girl's side I didn't mind Rachael winning, but I'm not a Rachael mega fan like most fans. I just wouldv'e appreciated more competition for her in the Final to make it a bit more earned. She pretty much just effortlessly skated to the finish.
2. The Gauntlet 3: This Challenge is weird in that the team that I wanted to win won, but the result was extremely dissatisfying. The entire Challenge was dominated by the Veterans as the poor Rookie team was decimated player by player along the way, and I couldn't help but feel for them. They tried so hard in every Challenge, only to be beaten over and over. Jillian is my all time favorite female Challenge competitor, and I also adore Frank, and watching them battle in the Gauntlet all season was satisfying. So the team I wanted to win won, and two of my favorites won after winning elimination after elimination, yet it's still dissapointing because of the way in which they won. Big Easy collapses for the Vets during the Final giving the Rookies a significant lead because the entire Veteran team had to stop and have him carted out. Despite this huge disadvantage the Vets manage to not only catch up to the Rookies but end up beating them to the finish line. They all begin to celebrate as TJ announces that because Easy didn't finish the Rookies win. Easy single handedly lost an entire Challenge. This win was completely undeserved, because the Veterans not only dominated all season but also still beat out the Rookies despite waiting for Easy to be carted off and lost on a technicality. This made the entire season pretty much pointless and a fluke. In the name of sportsmanship alone this outcome was extremely dissapointing.
1. Battle of the Exes- Johnny & Camilla: Anytime Johnny wins a Challenge is disspointing for me (except for Free Agents because he went into 3 eliminations and won a tough race against Johnny R., his most earned victory) but this one was the single most dissapointing time that he won. The whole Challenge I was cheering for CT and Diem. Watching CT beasting through the Final was so epic and I couldn't wait for it to culminate in him getting his first much deserved win, with Diem right along side him in the perfect victory. This was all immediately crashed at the very end when Johnny and Camilla nearly beat them out shattering all the good vibes and the experience. I felt robbed by the biggest ****** and I nearly cried.
What are your top satisfying/dissapointing Challenge victories? I am interested in seeing other fan's opinions on the matter. I don't expect everyone to detail out as much as I did, and write entire paragraphs, (I just love to write XD) but just share some of your opinions and thoughts. Thanks!
Battle of the Exes/The Ruins/The Island/Free Agents - Johnny's wins: It was just terrible to watch Bananas and Camila win...
