Well to be technical I think Nurys is black, she just doesn't know it. She definitely has some afro-Latina traits but I could be wrong.

“Ex on the Beach” is changing things up. The MTV reality series is expanding with “Ex on the Beach Couples,” a brand new show that will follow six couples ready to get engaged, with one major issue standing in their way: an ex. Relationship expert and “Are You the One?” host Kamie Crawford, will host spinoff.

“Through a series of intense challenges to their relationship and strength building exercises, the couples will decide if they can finally move on from their ex and achieve their happily ever after,” the series’ official description reads. “In a dramatic finale the couples will choose to make the ultimate commitment to their partner and get engaged or split up and go their separate ways forever.”

 

The show’s new format is similar to the Kinetic Content-produced Netflix series, “The Ultimatum,” during which couples must decide to marry their partner or move on with someone new. However, MTV’s show adds in the element of an ex who each person may or may not be still hung up on. 

“Ex On The Beach Couples” is produced by Entertainment One (eOne) company Whizz Kid Entertainment and ITV Netherlands. Executive producers include Malcolm Gerrie and Lisa Chapman (Whizz Kid); Matt Anderson, Nate Green and Cooper Green (Purveyors of Pop); Tara Long (eOne); Dan Caster and Diana Morelli (MTV); Keith Burke and Lisa Marie Tobin. Merrick Stone co-executive produces for MTV.

The experiment will premiere on Thursday, Feb. 9, at 9 p.m. ET. One week later, it will debut internationally in more than 170 countries.

Spari and Shayla

Up-and-coming music producer Spari still works often with his ex-girlfriend Ri, causing some trust issues with Shayla. Spari hopes to prove the relationship with his ex is strictly professional and that he views Shayla as his future wife.

Sorting and Lola

Sorrin is jealous and insecure — especially when it comes to Lola’s relationship with her ex Christopher. He’s hoping the experience will allow him to put those behind him.

Liam and Leylah

Although Liam, a dedicated boxer, feels ready to propose to Leylah, he’s hesitant because he’s convinced she still has feelings for her ex Samura.

Jake and Holly

The pair met in 2018 and have been through a lot amid his near-death motorcycle accident. Holly’s frustrated they haven’t taken the next step and thinks he’s resistent due to his past with his ex Pala.

Jamie and Thailah

Jamie (“J Dragon”) fell quickly for fellow DJ Thailah but after moving in, he asked her to be in an open relationship which led to jealousy — especially since Thailah’s ex, Charlie, hopes she’ll end up back with him.

Ben and Jade

Ben, a motivated business owner, is ready to get engaged to Jade and the duo have been saving for a house and having serious conversations about their futures. Her jealousy around Ben’s recent ex Kellie stands in the way.

Lets see if they edit it correctly.

right lol. I feel bad for them though based on what pink and gamer have said it seems like there was legitimate real drama and it'll allll be edited out

The host talking ruined the promo. Very monotone. 

The promos make this show look unwatchable. It looks more like a documentary than a reality show.

It's cool that we're getting The Challenge, AYTO and "Ex on the Beach"  all at the same time. But this looks meh.

It just doesn't seem like the exes are going to be able to get between any of the couples, so what's even the point? Hopefully I'm wrong though.
