And I bet you money it would do wonders for MTV too. One issue with the channel is that they don't really tap into what's popular right now in RTV.  A Housewife-Type show would be just what they need in order to get some real attention. That and maybe a show aimed at the black audience.

I believe Teen Mom is MTV's answer to a show like Real Housewives. If you notice in the recent seasons the moms are interacting with each other more. This new casting call on MTV also sounds like another Teen Mom style show they're going to be creating:

Well Cheyenne is a racist and to make it worse she’s dreadfully boring...and why is mtv so gung ho about Cory.  He’s a constant flop, apparently likes to hook up with racists, and just all together anticlimactic.
