I'm still a fan and happy he made it far. I don't think he's that fake I just think he's genuinely a non confrontational person so when asked about his moves yeah he's gonna say it was mostly Emily because he's someone that wants to keep the peace with everyone generally.

Yes def cares about being perceived as very progressive and so understanding of everything. Annoying as his actions do not always align with his words it seems.

That being said while Derek has a point about gay competitors, he is NOT on the level of Yes as a competitor. Sorry he just isn’t.  So as a competitor, he is less than but his gayness has nothing to do with it. IMO of course.

Tyler (at his best) and Frank as two examples are above Yes to me aside from maybe long distance but even then I am not sure and I am pretty sure they are respected as much as Yes competition wise even if underlying prejudices may come into play as how they are treated socially.
