Behind the Screen: The Challenge: Vets and New Threats - Sydney Segal

For over two decades, MTV's The Challenge has been the proving ground where reality TV's fiercest competitors come to cement their legacies. What started as a Real World/Road Rules spinoff has evolved into one of the most physically and mentally demanding competition series on television.

The franchise's expansion — with spinoffs in the USA, UK, Argentina, and Australia — speaks to a global appetite for the brand of cutthroat competition and alliance-driven gameplay that Vevmo's community has been tracking since 2007.

Is Venus really all dat? who she comparable to? I aint seen survivor in years.

Watch her "Best of" video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NXEFDCthgeM

Venus is great. She's confrontational, she wants to be in the power position, and she's not afraid to make moves. She really grew into her own as the season progressed and I watched a bit of her on Traitors Canada and she was great there too.

Like if we're getting a Survivor girl, it has to be her.

Bro, you're a moron. She was called the Rookie of the Year by TJ, CT, Bananas, Wes, and by the majority of the fans. Acting like she didn't have the biggest impact of all the rookies on 41 is straight delusional.

Did she disappoint on the confrontational side of things? Sure, a bit. But she was heads above any of the other 15 in terms of gameplay, competition, strategy, and making an impact.

I think the problem is we or at least I expected Sydney to be more confrontational and a better trash talker. I thought she was going to be more like Kate from season 1 of The Traitors or Janelle from her BB6 season. She really gave none of that. I thought she would be up there with Coral delivering iconic confessionals, but they were just one dimensional about how great she was and the delivery was flat. She was a major dissapointment from what I was expecting.

She wasn't an All-Timer rookie. But of the 16, easily the most important to that season.

Sydney wasn't a brainless Olivia minion like Adrienne and Izzy so I'll give her that

I think if I didn't know who Sydney was and have high expectations for her, I would have liked her. She had personality, gameplay, and wasn't just a minion. But my expectations were very high and she wasn't close living up to what I envisioned.

Ben, Tay, Jake didn't exist. Blue and Leka went home too early to make an actual impact. Izzy and Adrienne were cutesy minions. The editors hated Gabe. America hated the show. Dee stopped trying to bring anything after Episode 4. Cedric was fine but he was a ghost for the first two-thirds of the season. Justin was fine but he was a ghost for the last two-thirds of the season.

The only ones that made an actual impact on the story of the season were Sydney, Will, and to a much lesser extent Yeremi and Leo.

I think I have a very realistic idea of what Sydney brought to the show. For her to come out a ball of fire confrontationally was likely a bit much to expect. She does have an actual career. Can't risk that to be a reality tv clown.

she post topless pics on her instagram and her whole identity is being an elitist. she does not care about her professional image like that lol

killakashhh#793

She also said she wants to put Greta thunberg in a trash can lol
