Behind the Screen: The Challenge: Vets and New Threats - Finale part 2

For over two decades, MTV's The Challenge has been the proving ground where reality TV's fiercest competitors come to cement their legacies. What started as a Real World/Road Rules spinoff has evolved into one of the most physically and mentally demanding competition series on television.

The franchise's expansion — with spinoffs in the USA, UK, Argentina, and Australia — speaks to a global appetite for the brand of cutthroat competition and alliance-driven gameplay that Vevmo's community has been tracking since 2007.

I feel like we moved on too fast on how production allegedly took Cedric and Michaela's rope and giving them that penalty

killakashhh#98

Congrats Olivia! I mean it was so hard running a final against a team with a handicap and another with hypothermia!

Period omg she "deserves" it for being pregnant, and from "Alaska" and for being "bullied" by Micahela all season

Flopnanas#102

so how much did olivia win officially?

killakashhh#103
You are correct

Olivia and Atlas are the best challenge champs.

Free brothel services in Alaska for a year, with one condition. She must allow Jon Murray to have access to a live feed, and male prostitutes only. Aneesa must be allowed occasional shower peeping as well.

CosmicDiva#106

Lowkey wish Alaska wasn't a state just so Olivia could get deported.

Boo you lady of the night!

queenjenna#109

so olivia made the final on her rookie season (and lost because of a sad DQ), endgame for 39 and 40, has never been an early boot and now is a challenge CHAMP and she won PREGNANT. and people think she is weak? SHE'S THE NEW BARBIE BEAST <3 so proud of her

OS Kajun#110

She had a pea in her when she won. Lets stop acting like she won 8 months pregnant.

no what she did is extremely impressive and it's only because you hate her that you won't admit it

Sportsman180#112

The equalizers are beyond stupid. I get that they are trying to make a good show, but the fact that the ENTIRE final came down to approximately 45 minute climb up a mountain is some major bullshit.

Yeremi and Olivia deserved it by having the best lungs! But it makes literally the entire episode and a half before it COMPLETELY pointless.

Sportsman180#113

I've lost respect for Sydney. I think her boyfriend got jealous of her partnership with Turbo so she tried to flip the script that he was inappropriate and creepy, not cool.

I think he was controlling and creepy and she didn't see it as much in the heat of the moment where you're absolutely having to rely on him to survive in the game.

I personally do think it’s a language barrier and a cultural difference.

They were clearly isolated and targeted from like Episode 12 on and he fostered that isolation. He's a weird dude, we all know that. No one's calling him a predator.

I'm really sick of Day 1 not mattering. One team has to be cut at the end of Day 1 from now on. THERE MUST BE CONSEQUENCES.

It's time to just face the facts. Your little show isn't a competition show. It's an unorganzied, incompetent joke. So just ask for the most entertaining people and quit crying about how much they can deadlift.

GoldenRing#118

Yeremi getting loud? He should get a butch hair cut more often

GoldenRing#119

So was it Turbo that caused Sydney and him to lose?

And why did no one stake?

Sportsman180#120

Nah, Sydney gassed out a bit too. She said she couldn't breathe in the thin air. But she was also dragging Turbo most of the final. But it's also her fault for not dumping him. Turbo did a respectable job for a near 40 year old in that terrain.

Yeremi just kept an insane pace and pulled Olivia along and to her credit she stayed upright and kept moving her feet.

Everyone chickened out of the stake. Idk why. Olivia was dead on her feet after Day 1, Sydney would've beaten her in anything.

I'm sorry that's just silly. I get that they are making a tv show first. So I get that they want to keep it close. But forcing teams into duels and Day 1 winners ONLY getting more sleep ain't compelling tv. The Day 2 part is usually only 2 or 3 hours long. Tell the competitors straight up at the start of the final: Day 1 Winners get a 10 minute head start on Day 2 over 2nd, 2nd place gets 5 minutes head start over 3rd, 4th is out.

That way Day 1 matters way more now and the frontrunners can decide how much energy they need to expend and how much to save.
