Behind the Screen: The Challenge: UK - Episodes Discussion

For over two decades, MTV's The Challenge has been the proving ground where reality TV's fiercest competitors come to cement their legacies. What started as a Real World/Road Rules spinoff has evolved into one of the most physically and mentally demanding competition series on television.

The franchise's expansion — with spinoffs in the USA, UK, Argentina, and Australia — speaks to a global appetite for the brand of cutthroat competition and alliance-driven gameplay that Vevmo's community has been tracking since 2007.

It wasnt bad but it definitely was the weakest spinoff for me. The Australian spinoff is my favorite so far...

who ended up winning i rly didn't care about this version when i watched the first 2 episodes (idk who won for the males bc the male winner isn't on global championship apparently)

Tristan won, he's on

I'm on episode 4, I feel like there's the potential for a good season here but there needed to be at least 4 more pairs and episodes, at the very minimum they could have had a 3 team final so there was one more episode. Just too short to really feel like anything more than this having any point besides getting the winners and MVPs for the World Championship. Also agree AJ should have been on the worlds, though I get Nathan makes sense for representation

Ok I finished. The host ate up TJ especially with that smile at the end and the fire behind him. I'm excited to see Tristan interact with Jonna but sadly she's on her best behavior so. Kaz was fine. She's better than Kiki i'll give her that.

kaz wasn't better than queen kiki sorry...but anyways this host was terrible he made it possible to be even more boring than tj!

I liked Mark hosting, he gave commentary and with the chance to do more would become more relaxed and natural.

I like TJ but with the exception of trivia challenges he's just said the same thing every episode for years now.

I noticed the commentary from the host meant less confessionals from the cast cutting in during a daily. I prefer this style.

Mark is definitely the best host I've seen. Charismatic, good looking, serious, and funny.

I wish they did different challenges. I think that's why I'm having a hard time finishing this and Australia. It's boring watching the same thing with a different cast.

australia was a decent background-show season, but watching this one after aus i just didn't care anymore and i turned it off lol. agreed it's monotonous having the same house same country same challenges.

I am upset they didn't show the reaction to the Queen dying and lol at all these being the same.

Chicken_breast#50

it would've done really well had they done what au did promotion wise and casted big names/larger cast..

Australia flopped rating wise too lol

In reality the only one that had the correct strategy was Telefe (Argentina) airing right before the biggest show of the country, started promo since November & stretching episodes by dividing them into dailies episodes + eliminations episodes allowing for some type of storyline to develop

They need to hire these smart people for The main Challenge.
