Behind the Screen: The Challenge: Spies, Lies and Allies- Kyle Christie

For over two decades, MTV's The Challenge has been the proving ground where reality TV's fiercest competitors come to cement their legacies. What started as a Real World/Road Rules spinoff has evolved into one of the most physically and mentally demanding competition series on television.

The franchise's expansion — with spinoffs in the USA, UK, Argentina, and Australia — speaks to a global appetite for the brand of cutthroat competition and alliance-driven gameplay that Vevmo's community has been tracking since 2007.

The Challenge: Spies, Lies and Allies- Kyle Christie

Kyle just has had no character development other than being the "funny confessional guy" that plays the background. I can't think of a single storyline he's had in the last 5 seasons. And his confessionals have gotten so rehearsed and over the top he's become a caricature of himself

That hurt man. I get what you're saying but I genuinely consider Kyle a competitor to who gives his all and deserves to be there. Some challengers can't say the same

His try hard confessionals never fail to get a Yawn out of me

Nany_MTV#96

He is SO ANNOYING

I don't get why everyone doesn't use the same logic as Kyle. I'd do everything I could to be on CT's team at this point.

See Ashely, Rogan, Dee, Amber.

That's the real reason why Nelson was so pissed off.

RedSkull35#98

Back to RUBY !!! i love you kyle

Connor91#99

Just noticed in his insta it says 8x challenge veteran in his bio. To my knowledge he's done 7 so does this mean casting has been done for s38 and he's in?

Nany_MTV#100

I don't even care at this point I'm in my patriotic era and he's not as annoying or misogynistic as other men on this season let's go Kyle!

RebeccaB#101

Y'all hate so much on him, but he's really so much better then most of the other men and least harmless.

His confessionals are so over the top it's ridiculous. Nelson is someone I like too but same with him.

dylan76#103

Thank you, Kyle!!!

I actually find him funny. He's a try-hard yes,  but most of his jokes land well for me so I don't mind him.

yeah, same for me. He's corny but also quite funny. I also like him because he doesn't take this show so seriously, like he barely trains and he still beat Josh, when Josh trains like crazy every single day

nellytfan#106

He's worked pretty hard this season compared to other vets he went to 2 eliminations and won hopefully pt.2 of the final is a good showing for him

Yeah I don't mind him too much this season at all - it could be because I don't care for a lot of this cast, but I do like that nothing is too serious to him, which drives the people like Josh or CT crazy so I'm here for it.

As you can tell by my avi I'm a big Kyle fan but I'd love him to take a break for one season just to have some family time and maybe give some people a chance to miss him?

For me he actually just comes across as a really nice guy who is funny and genuinely wants to be there and get better. I sort of hate that some people can find him that annoying. I can't understand the hate. Can someone fill me in who isn't much of a fan what's so dislikeable about him, I genuinely want to know.

For me I almost feel sorry for him, I feel like he's ****** over almost every season and he has done nothing that snakey people make out he's the biggest snake going and I must be blind because I don't really see it. Seems like he's decent towards most cast members and STILL provides drama and funnies.

Nany_MTV#109

We need new geordies

Daddy DAF#110

Has this loser taken a break yet

deeper#111

I don't hate him. He, like Nelson, has become a caricature of themselves especially in the confessional booth. He also has not had a relevant storyline in years. And most of all, anyone who does 7 in a row is going to get hate. No one should be doing 7 in a row.

deeper#112

Plus his ugly *** denture looking veneers are disgusting lmao

Big_bananas_fan#113

It still amazes me how they invited Kyle and never got Scotty or Aaron from Geordie

Flopnanas#114

I don't know what's so amazing about this guy to have him 7 times in a row. He honestly stopped being interesting once cara stopped messin with him

anon12423452355...#115

Kyle needed a couple breaks but he really doesn't bother me and is the least of their issues. I like that he's light-hearted and has fun with the show. He's one of the few that keeps it fun and is not so dark. He doesn't come off forced and phony to me like the others.

Kyle is the epitome of forced & phony.

agreed - a season off does everyone well, mentally for the cast and it's refreshing for the viewers.  Heck look how much buzz happens when people like Amanda, Theresa, etc get when they pop up.  They're established but haven't been on in a hot second so they are fun to watch even if you weren't fans of them back in the day.  It allows for potential new winners and also allows others that are normally background players to maybe get more screen time.
