Behind the Screen: Challenge Rookie Prospects

For over two decades, MTV's The Challenge has been the proving ground where reality TV's fiercest competitors come to cement their legacies. What started as a Real World/Road Rules spinoff has evolved into one of the most physically and mentally demanding competition series on television.

The franchise's expansion — with spinoffs in the USA, UK, Argentina, and Australia — speaks to a global appetite for the brand of cutthroat competition and alliance-driven gameplay that Vevmo's community has been tracking since 2007.

She's been useless. This is not an unpopular opinion.

Ive seen a lot of people on survivor reddit ask for Sophie from survivor 49 to be on this.

For Challenge USA if it still exists? Absolutely. But for Flagship? Nah. She's like a professional, early 30's, NYC corporate person. Too mature. I would say the same for MC, USA material.

Sophi B. would be great if she was a bit more athletic (she would be a first boot) and didn't have a serious boyfriend.

No one on 49 other than Savannah fits completely personality wise for the flagship but she's tiny and in a serious relationship.

She wouldn't be a terrible option, but I also can think of way better options.

Not yall editing posts from NOVEMBER 12TH.... yall are fruitfly insane

killakashhh#310

Ok this has gone TOO FAR with the editing. Are yall going to edit something from July bc we said a cuss word?

Sportsman180#311

I'm serious about Sophi B though, if she was even Dee-level athletic and single, these boards would be plastered with posts from me about her lol.

Such a lil hottie.

No thanks.

Sportsman180#313

No thanks.

Why though? She's shown to have an adept ability to scramble well politcally and manipulate socially. And she's hot and has a cute personality.

Her drawbacks are she's not very athletic, is in a serious relationship, and likely won't get into heavy personal drama. The third thing we've all but accepted that the Gen Z rookies simply don't and won't do anymore.

Hot is subjective...no furter comment there. I just don't find her interesting. Once she wasn't on a losing tribe, going to tribal every episode she became a non-factor. She's a Tay 2.0

KChallenge10#315

I really like Sophi B and feel likes she's someone you throw onto any show and she would do well socially. She's just so tiny and would get tossed lol

Savannah should easily be one of the top people they call shes one of the best of the new era IMO.

OS Kajun#316

Savannah is small but has done great physically on Survivor. If she happens to get voted in the one physical Hall Brawl against Laurel she is done, but she can win most of their corny eliminations. She strategic and long as she embraces her villain side and doesn't try and be a victim like Natalie N then she can be a true star.

Sportsman180#317

If you put Michaela vs Dee in anything remotely physical, it would be a blowout.

Sophi is like 94% the size of Dee. Savannah 90%. It would be a homicide.

What is your point? You can put some of these roided out giants in one of the ten puzzle/math eliminations against a puzzle nerd and it would be homicide. So should we stop casting dummies as well? There's like 3 physical eliminations a season so we shouldn't cast entertaining people who would excel in 95% of the areas of the game because they MIGHT get voted in one of those physical eliminations? Come on. Please stop acting like this show is American Gladiators. This stupid mindset is how we get Kasey's, Emily, and Jenny's who bring zero to the show but hey they might turn Sportsman on by getting voted in and winning one of the two physical eliminations a season.

OS Kajun#319

Cast more weak girls so that the entertaining girls like Amanda, Tina, and Ashley have a chance to stay! We want the weak entertaining girls!

We just saw Justin almost make the final despite being a smaller guy, savannah would be fine in 90% of the eliminations

Challenge 17#321

As for Sophi, I love her but god no. She can do traitors or something. She'd be horrible at this lol

I mean that's fair and I agree that they've limited the physical eliminations but the dailies also remain physically intensive as well. You don't need to be a roided up monster to kill a season of The Challenge. Look at Sydney this year. But I also feel like you cannot be Natalie Negrotti size and expect to be anything better than a fourth boot.

Blue still didn't have a shot to do well this year. America absolutely lucked into 13 episodes.

OS Kajun#324

Savannah has done great on the challenges. She's just short. You were probably also one of the many calling Cedric a twink who would flop. Your idea of what this show is completely delusional. They have fooled you into thinking this is truly a 5th sport.

Challenge 17#325

We saw tay of all people win two eliminations. Savannah has done well and is in good shape. She'll be fine in anything not weight based. There are plenty of missions and eliminations that favor speed and flexibility over brute strength

I knew Cedric was a Marine. The only people that would've embarrassed Cedric in a physical elimination were Gabe and CT.

I still feel like anyone that's on Survivor 50 isn't gonna be available anyway. Probst is controlling and vindictive as hell. He wants his cast live tweeting, podcasting, etc. The works. Survivor 50 premieres on 2/25. He would be absolutely furious if two or three of his castmembers go radio silent for 2 months.

GoldenRing#328

We need to stop pretending someone will or won't be good because of size.

Dee demolished Adrienne in that elimination, and it was Derrick who got her out. America left on a puzzle and managed to avoid dead last most of the season. And, yes I remember she got lucky earlier but she was voted in largely because she was with John, not because of anything she did.

Justin kept exceeding expectations despite how you all spoke about him pre-season. We don't know until they get on the show.

Sportsman180#329

I am not saying "size" is the end all be all to whether you should be cast or not. I just think when you're Negrotti/America/Savannah size, don't expect them to last very long. Like a 75% chance out by Episode 8.

Flopnanas#330

i mean aviv is even smaller than savannah and sophi b... Them two are like dee's size which is fine. Not everyone need to look a brolic man. Sophi no but savannah is stacked you can tell she works out at least and is ultra competitive

killakashhh#331

Michele is one of the smallest girls and made the final (bc all of her elims being catered to her but that's a topic for another day) size isn't that much of a factor anymore
