Behind the Screen: The Challenge: Final Reckoning - The Leftovers

For over two decades, MTV's The Challenge has been the proving ground where reality TV's fiercest competitors come to cement their legacies. What started as a Real World/Road Rules spinoff has evolved into one of the most physically and mentally demanding competition series on television.

The franchise's expansion — with spinoffs in the USA, UK, Argentina, and Australia — speaks to a global appetite for the brand of cutthroat competition and alliance-driven gameplay that Vevmo's community has been tracking since 2007.

It was, but Joss is English he clearly takes Pennies! And probably not many of them! What did he say about 8 mile? I'd seen it mentioned before but not what he actually said

i agree with this assessment. heres a question.. i propose, what is the best thing Johnny could have done in that situation. You say he didn't have to bring in the death of Devin's dad ok. So lets say hypothetically johnny just called devin something else.. do you think devin would back off? I mean what was johnnys recourse? Walking away wasnt helping... Production certainly was not helping if anything they saw this as gold.. maybe johnny request to just leave premises? all parties were wrong. i think the matter with those two could have been prevented had nelson not just go in there trying to stirrup things.

devin stated on twitter that the reason he was initially upset was him calling nelson a pathetic retard. so idk. maybe he could have apologized for being a piece of shit for once in his life for starters.

Nobody is saying Devin is innocent in this situation. But it didn't warrant what Backpack said to him. Period.

and I 100% agree with that

lol in that situation he was.  BUT, John is the biggest bully of them all and finally got the tables tunred on him and he really can't take it.  Devin basically was younger version of John in that situation and John was the ____ (insert any name in here - Paula, Ev, Sarah, etc) recieving the bully treatement from Devin.  I in know way ever want to defend John because I think he's a bad person, but Devin was def. being a bully in this situation.

Johnny is literally the only thing this show has close to a bully...... he's not remotely a victim so he it's not bullying.

A bully can be bullied.  John is in no way a vitcim, he is the ultimate bully of the series.  But that doesn't mean other can't be bullies as well, or be bully-like. Devin was a bully in this circumstance.

Possibly unpopular opinion, but I find Marie hilarious. I'm reading her episode recap right now and here are some of my favorite jems:"We head to the bar/dead restaurant and Cory lets us know DADDY’S EATING GOOD TONIGHT. I’m not usually turned on when someone calls themselves Daddy, but tonight is different. Cory, if you want another baby… I’m potty trained… most nights.""The only thing I know is that Shane must have taught Nelson a new word this week. Nelson goes on to use the word “amplify” as many times as possible before the end of the episode. Good job Nelly, but can you spell it?""John takes full advantage of being “the victim” and tells us that severe emotional traumas can really bring people together. Shut up.""Her  face is DEAD as she gets up on the platform. I obviously screenshot Cara’s face and immediately set it as her contact picture in my phone."

not unpopular, she is hilarious and the best part of the season (and always has funny one liners in every season she does) <3      I live for her <3

I think production should have stepped in really, Devin was harassing him, and Johnny did try to get away. But still, insulting him in any other way would have been better. It wouldn't have made Devin back off as I think the only thing that did was that Johhny comments clearly hurt and stopped him. But stil Johns scum for saying it. No excuses you should know what lines to not cross even when you are a low life. Johnny's done a lot worse than Devin ever has.

dylan76#642

I was all set to be pro-Devin last night.  He antagonizes & polks a guy notorious for vile, disgusting behavior & then he cries when the d bag throws him a low blow.  Of course bananas is going to be an *****,  that's who he is!  I actually expected way worse! Devin had johnny so pressed.  He should've brushed past the comment & kept getting in his head instead of giving johnny the reaction he wanted.  And then devin tweets insults about working class people like the elitist creep he is.  He's scum, always has been. If he's not sending bananas home, he is completely useless & irrelevant.

You can't win with casuals, either you start drama and you're a "bully" or you don't and you're "wallpaper why cast people if they are just there"

I personally blame cara for the "bullying" claims, she started getting fans because she claimed it and suddenly everyone else does. Like you're adults competing for a million dollars, you willingly signed up for this knowing shitty people are in the house. You aren't victims

Nah. Devin can **** off.

He started that shit, escalated that shit, and then acted a ***** when Johnny went there... and to be fair, his insults weren't about Devin's dad - but about Devin's behavior. Wasn't the nicest thing to do - but you can see how far Devin had pushed it.
