Behind the Screen: The Challenge: Final Reckoning - Joss Mooney

For over two decades, MTV's The Challenge has been the proving ground where reality TV's fiercest competitors come to cement their legacies. What started as a Real World/Road Rules spinoff has evolved into one of the most physically and mentally demanding competition series on television.

The franchise's expansion — with spinoffs in the USA, UK, Argentina, and Australia — speaks to a global appetite for the brand of cutthroat competition and alliance-driven gameplay that Vevmo's community has been tracking since 2007.

Personally I wouldn’t have pranked Cara who has a history of playing victim and crying or Day who I don’t know well and who we’ve rarely seen joking in the house...

Agreed. Especially on Day. She was on edge all season. I personally don't think it was racially fueled or  was a personal attack or he really meant anything by it, but like you said, she's not the one to joke around with like that lol

Cara is the perfect person to prank. People only really do it to find who will have the biggest reaction. Also I dont want to make it racial but considering a lot of YouTube pranks are in "the hood" there could be something to that. But dont @ me

WittyWrath#156

If he wanted to prank a black girl in the house it should’ve been Faith who seems like she hangs around guys more than girls or Kayleigh who Joss knows from EOTB. Still the whole 8 mile comment and sassy black girl impersonation is a no.

I would speak my piece on it but I'm not at home lol all I can say is everybody is not on that wave & I don't know what it'll take for people to see that.

I wanna hear what you have to say. Cause maybe I'm wrong but from what I've seen via Joss/Rogan/EOTB British boys, British and Australian friends I've had, etc. they just don't really give a **** and like to joke around and push people's buttons. He obviously said it during a time where Day was upset and I think that's why it pissed her off so much, but I think if he did the same thing with one of his friends like Kayleigh joking around, it wouldn't even be viewed in a negative light and it would've just been seen as a joke. But that's just my take on it.

I mean.. Sylvia impersonated Joss and it was obviously a joke. I think it was kind of the same thing but because of the racial undertones here it was definitely insensitive. Like I said, I'm not defending him I'm just trying to view it from both perspectives.

people joke like that with friends all the time because they're comfortable enough with each other to do shit like that (i'm 150% Kayleigh would still be livid though lmao), but i've never seen Joss even interacting with Da'vonne, and Joss and Cara aren't really cool like that, so of course they're gonna feel some type of way. i can't say if he was willingly being malicious, but it was really really stupid and insensitive of him

Glad i never really ever liked him. Bad enough that he tried to bring ***** on the show but then he wants to say that shit to Da'vonne? Where was he when Zach was calling Amanda a ***** ?

Also British humour does not include stereotyping others in the middle of an argument.

According to Amanda on her live, she said Joss stood up for her but they didn't show it. Seems like they don't show a lot of his stuff (good and bad), but I don't care. He's trash.
