On season 1 Yes intentionally waited and then helped Jemmye so he could run the first leg with her.  Running a final has a lot to do with who you can work with.  I'm not picking Jemmye but Yes clearly likes working with her.

And by the way I think Jimmy was very pretty but botched injections, surgeries, and a horrid personality killed that for me.
