Behind the Screen: The Challenge: All Stars 2- Janelle Casanave

For over two decades, MTV's The Challenge has been the proving ground where reality TV's fiercest competitors come to cement their legacies. What started as a Real World/Road Rules spinoff has evolved into one of the most physically and mentally demanding competition series on television.

The franchise's expansion — with spinoffs in the USA, UK, Argentina, and Australia — speaks to a global appetite for the brand of cutthroat competition and alliance-driven gameplay that Vevmo's community has been tracking since 2007.

I found it out interesting that she thought Key West was dropped from Battle of the Seasons 2012 because Paula, Johnny and Tyler had all recently won. They would never do that today...

queen said she took a break from dominating because she didnt want to end up being 40 without a career OOPI wonder which castmates that can refer too *giggles*...

She's a surgical nurse.

Honest question--why do people pretend being a nurse means someone is intelligent?  One can get a nursing degree in about a year.  It doesn't mean anything.  Look at Amanda and even Kendal.

You could literally say that about any career so - that's false....it takes a lot - and are we really going to pretend that Amanda and Kendal aren't smart?  That's just ignorant to say.

It does not take a year.  Where do you get your information?

There are different kinds of nursing.

It takes a year to be a RN? That's news to me

thedefiantwolf#48

It took a year to be an RN maybe in like the 1950s or 60s lmaoo

thedefiantwolf#49

Even if you do a community college program thats still 2-3 years and that just gets you an LPN after that its an additional approx 2 years to get an RN (ive had friends/fam do the community college route and some that did traditional 4 years)

Yeah I work in a hospital and none of the nurses I've talked to did one year of college lmaoooo.

I didn't say to be a RN. I said to be a nurse.  This board acts like nurses are highly intelligent.  It's a noble profession and kudos to them for doing it but it doesn't take a genius.

And yes I'm saying Kendal and Amanda are far from brilliant. They also make very questionable life choices time and time again.

flyguy#52

KVM saying all that when he dont even got a college degree smh. The most unqualified people be the hardest critics!

Why are you doing this...

wutzrenzi#54

Anyway, great interview and I'm excited to see her compete.

People don't like to hear this because it is regarded as a noble profession and respect to those who do a good job, especially in these times. But I have to say this is accurate. I ought to know. I deal with nurses all the time who are absolute morons.

lnteresting how she said being intimidating worked to her advantage on Inferno 3 and disadvantage on Gauntlet 3. I think she's right. She was a mature, strong presence on the Bad ***** team and even a straight-shooter with Aneesa. The latter challenge definitely wasn't the place for an intimidating woman. She said she should have gotten advice from Coral but Coral had to peace out for a reason.

What do you do?

What do you do?

Tvandcoffee#58

Who said anything about all nurses? I was talking about her particular job. are we gonna act like you dont have to be smart to be a perioperative nurse? Lol sure

realitybrotherr#59

What do you do?

Psy4potato#60

There may be idiot nurses but there are also idiot doctors, laywers, etc... Pandemic aside all then nurses I know had to study their butts off and my time working in the medical field the nurses always seemed to be more on top of things than the docs.  I will 100% agree to disagree with you on this one KMV.

hardbitten#61
