Swimming can't keep being the downfall of black folks on this show. A lot of these people have nothing but free time when not filming, please take lessons! So if Cory would have beaten Derek they really would have set Cory and Kyland up to lose this final to Bananas and Jordan. They did that on purpose. Just like when they do mid-season purges that's 90% swimming. 

I need people to realize that working on something doesn't automatically mean you will be great at it. People are still naturally good/bad at things. People can improve at something by working on it, but that doesn't mean they will be great at it. A lot of people train for the Olympics, but most do not make it.

And yes dreamdoll, my queen Big T is a great swimmer! I remember when she kicked even CT's *** in a swim on Double Agents.

I need you to get reading comprehension because no where did I say anyone will be "great at it". Swimming is a learnt skill. It can be learned at any age. It's not something you're naturally good at or naturally bad it.

it's probably similar to learning a language. when yr brain/body is younger, still growing, and is more adaptable/still forming, the earlier you start, the better. that's why young kids learn new languages much easier than adults. however, it's still possible for a 40 year old to begin learning a new langauge to the point of proficiency. it would just take a lot more work and probably takes a little longer. in the case of swimming it's because that muscle memory and innate movement abilities just aren't there, so it's more to relearn i think the same logic applies any specialty. i think that's what UKLover was getting at.

Wasnt there a black woman who was really great at swimming? Maybe Bayleigh?  Or someone on USA? I feel like we had one and we never saw em again smh

Justine who was partnered with Bananas on World Champs was pretty good. 

Darrell and Alton have always been good, if not great swimmers. it's uncommon but there have been good black people swimmers on the show.
