Behind the Screen: Big Brother: The Vevmo Takeover (Official Game Thread)

Big Brother remains one of the most-watched summer staples in American television, with its unique format of 24/7 live feeds giving superfans an unmatched window into the social dynamics of the game.

The show's blend of strategic gameplay, showmances, and blindsides has fueled one of the most dedicated online fanbases in reality TV — and Vevmo has been at the center of that conversation for years.

I have sucked at all the comps and didn't even make it to the last part of the final hoh which if you base it off the past I don't think anyone has won if they have not made it to the final hoh...

Congrats Youssarian. All I can say is that I hope you take me to the final 2...

Why me? I have sucked at all the comps and didn't even make it to the last part of the final hoh which if you base it off the past I don't think anyone has won if they have not made it to the final hoh.  Plus when I said I wouldn't say your name I didn't the only time was last hoh when it really made no difference

All I can say is that I hope you take me to the final 2. I feel I should be there but if not then it is what it is and I wish you and RLK the best of luck.

BBVT#3695

Thank you melm3! And good luck to the both of you!

Youssarian you must now cast your vote to evict in this thread.

Youssarian#3696

Okay, guys. It's been a crazy ride. Both of you have helped me get here in different ways and I've really enjoyed playing with both of you guys. Ultimately I have to do what's best for my chances to win and that is to evict...

Melm. I'm so sorry, but I feel like you have a bigger chance of winning against me in the final. Nothing personal at all.

RLK2014#3697

Thank you so much Yous!!! And Mel. Sad

BBVT#3698

melm3

YOU'VE BEEN EVICTED FROM THE BBVT HOUSE AND WILL BECOME THE NINTH AND FINAL MEMBER OF OUR JURY!

melm3#3699

Sad damn. I was soooo close and I know I could have won this game if I was in that final. I just had one more obstacle to overcome. Good luck to the both of you and I'm at least happy that I made it this far.

Hi everyone!

It’s really an honor to make it to the final 2. Throughout the game, I never thought I would make it here. It’s funny, because people kept telling me that I was a favorite to win and I was like “me? I’m never even gonna make it to the finals!” I couldn’t have done it without the people who stuck by me, so thank y’all.

I guess now this is the part where I plead my case. I think I overall played a great game in respect to strategy, social, and strength. Strategically I kept my friends close and my enemies closer. I knew who the biggest threats to my game were and I was able to vote them out while advancing my own position further. When I DID find myself on the block, I was able to deflect the votes towards my opponents and stay in the game. I didn’t “run the game” and decide who was voted off every round, but that was my never my strategy. Playing a hard, fast game with alliances and deals is a slippery slope; I didn’t want any of that to come back and bite me in the butt. I wanted to play a more lowkey game where I could still make decisions while avoiding being a target, a strategy which obviously worked as I’m standing right here. Therefore, I had my people I knew I could trust and I kept solid social relations to everyone else, my enemies included.

And this is where my social game comes in. I don’t think (and I hope) I’m not on bad terms with anyone from this game. First, alienating people in a game where your competitors decide who wins is not a good jury management strategy. It’s simple logic. Second, I just generally try to be a nice and friendly person. That’s who I am. I hate fighting and I hate getting involved in drama. There was a lot of it this game, and I was able to stay out of it and just keep my focus on the game. I’ve actually made some pretty good friends by being in this game, and also made my bonds stronger with other people who I knew before. My nominations typically showed my social game as well: I never lied in my reasonings, I always did nominate people based on who I spoke to the least. And even then, I felt bad because I did actually speak to those people throughout the course of the game. So overall I feel like socially I was pretty well-rounded.

Finally, let’s talk about comps. I will 100% fully admit that I missed more than I cared to miss. Unfortunately, real life got in my way a lot this summer: work, vacation, sickness, computer issues. Everything plagued me, and I really do regret missing the number of comps that I did. That being said, I think I proved that I was a force to be reckoned with in the ones I was able to show up to. Week 3, I knew my tail was on the line with Battle of the Block, and me and DScott’s score on that competition was 21 entire minutes better than our competitors’. I hate to brag, but I think even you will admit, Fish, that I took the reins on that competition and slammed it out. I won two HOH competitions, including what was probably one of the hardest ones, Angry Birds (the one where we had to try to post as many times as possible while also taking away posts from other people). And lastly, when I knew my butt was on the line, I was able to win clutch vetoes, such as in the final 5 and final 4 (taking myself off the block both times). Additionally, I never really did extremely poorly in most of the other competitions. Had I been able to appear at more competitions, I feel like I would have done an even better job. However, overall I knew when I HAD to win to keep myself safe, and I did just that. And I think that’s ultimately what matters when thinking about competitions.

Overall I feel like I am the more well-rounded contestant in the final two. I had the brains, the brawn, the social skills, and the strategy to make it here and I’m proud of the game I played. Good luck with your decisions and I’m looking forward to questioning!

I may have not been the best at comps, I mean I only won like 3, one of which was handed to me. But my social game was on point. I was with an alliance called the night watchers. It started with KVM, Mel and I and then after the first botb comp that Ray and I won I convinced KVM & Mel that Ray would be a good edition. Somehow we managed to get 3 of us in the top 4 and all of us in the jury. because the targets were the rest of the house verse each other. I talked to every person in this house. When it was KVM and Mel on the block it was the hardest thing I did this summer but I had to keep Mel safe in order to keep a target off of our alliance. On top of my main squad I also had side alliances/I won't vote you if you keep me safe deals with almost everyone in the house besides dscott, Mitch & Jamie. So please vote for the person who played the best game. I was only put on the block by 2 people in the game. I really am the Andy of BBVT with my social game. And need I remind you I am a rookie who made it all the way to the end.
BBVT#3704

Thank you both very much!

KVM trying to bounce hahaha

kvm1977#3710

RLK, you stated that you convinced me and melm to work with Raymond?  Raymond and I were aligned from day 1.  He was the only person I actually trusted in this game until SemiSweet right before my eviction.  In no way, did you convince me to bring him into the group.  So, other than that false statement...what was your best strategic move?

Yous, the only question I have for you is why did you evict melm over RLK?

kvm1977#3711

I wasn't even going to ask anything until I saw the final statement nonsense

Raymond21#3712

KVM + Raymond21 = Rivals Alliance

aka the true day 1's Wink

Raymond21#3713

Yous...

I felt this back and forth between us most of the time.. Never really discussed it with you. Did you see me as a threat to your game? If so, in what way?

Yous, the only question I have for you is why did you evict melm or RLK?

you were the one who asked if I thought we could fully trust Ray but it is whatever. Big moves I have made were starting the I hate Jamiefire and dscott alliance (yes I know it failed) but everyone thought that it was lucci we and not me so it put everything on her and I was clean handed. On top of that voting you out was a big move since I was. I was the one who got out ckq the 2nd time to stay true to my alliance even though I didn't know if I could trust Ray and ckq gave me a final 2. And finally when ckq came back I got her to put up the people she did when she wanted Ray to go home and keep Yous safe.

I asked you that to see if I could trust you

Fair enough other than that--I appreciate the answer

I definitely did feel like you were a threat to my game. I think you're an example of when I "kept my enemies closer". We exchanged a few messages but never really solidified an alliance or any sort of pact, so I did not feel like you had any sort of obligation to keep me around and thus I didn't really trust you very much. Especially in Angry Birds, when you were the only person to consistently come after me, that's when I was like, it's definitely time to get rid of Raymond. But I didn't want to just start gunning after you and make you come after me even more, so I tried to keep it on the down low that you were one of my biggest targets until I was in a position that I could take you out. I think you were a threat not only because you could have came after me, but you were good at competitions and had a lot of friends in the game. You were playing an awesome game and I knew letting you get to the end would be a mistake.

Raymond21#3717

How many alliances and deals did you really have? And did you always stay true to #NightsWatch?

i was 100% #********** if I wasn't I would have kept ckq over you in the final 5. But my alliances during some point of the game (I will just do more recent and won't count lucci & lizzie). With semisweet we were doing a all girl alliance after all the girls were going. I trusted her she trusted me. I was working with GD & ckq till (starting during his hoh) nev & pink I was working with but to stay true to night watch I threw the hoh comp so that dscott could win (that was the week him put me up as a replacement). Yous I had a thing with him where if he kept me safe I wouldn't say his name (which I didn't tell last week) Mitch wanted to work with me at 1 point (obviously I didn't trust that since well he put me up all the time) and I was working with ckq when she came back in the house.
