Behind the Screen: The Best Rivalries in Challenge History

For over two decades, MTV's The Challenge has been the proving ground where reality TV's fiercest competitors come to cement their legacies. What started as a Real World/Road Rules spinoff has evolved into one of the most physically and mentally demanding competition series on television.

The franchise's expansion — with spinoffs in the USA, UK, Argentina, and Australia — speaks to a global appetite for the brand of cutthroat competition and alliance-driven gameplay that Vevmo's community has been tracking since 2007.

Battle of The Seasons cast had SO MUCH potential, so sad most of them never came back. I really liked Kelley beating everybody in "Vertical Limit!", Belou, Chadwick and Holly, Tara, Becky, Lindsay, King Slapper, Sean, Piggy, Sharon, Mike from Miami, so many good people, golden era tbh.

Kelley, Lindsay and Tara (maybe Sean too) all expressed interest in returning at the Battle of the Seasons reunion. Becky was rumored for Battle of the Sexes 1 ...I think Mike from Miami was rumored for Inferno 2 when they were casting. I don't think he really enjoyed Battle of the Seasons though.

I rewatched that reunion 8 days ago and the only person who said "no" to come back was Danny Roberts and Holly who didn't say a word. Kelley's drunk *** was so interested in returning same as Mike/Coral and Theo/Tara.

Reading that I realized that alot of the seasons 1 cast did not return. Shame because some of them could've been good characters later on in the shows life.

Seriously, I mean I get that the whole purpose was to have a lot of different casts represented, but they did it successfully while getting mostly interesting people from the seasons! Barely anybody was a second rate castmember. I'd venture to say 90% of the cast was first choice. I agree that it is SUCH a shame that we never saw or heard from a lot of them again, and also that it had such a fun vibe to it (especially the toga party!). One of the best seasons ever. I really could just watch the stretch of BOTSeasons, BOTSexes, Gauntlet & Inferno over and over and be happy.

Same.  I dont care how awful today's seasons are.  I can always go back & rewatch seasons from the golden era over & over & over...

Yep. And those seasons hold up really well too.

Nia and Jordan are the only rivals who I disliked both of them.  Disliked Jordan less  but they are both awful.  Can someone explain the Nia love? I don't get it. XD
