Season 26 begins with 11 dating couples, including five pairs who meet for the first time at the starting line at California's Castaic Lake. The pairs fly to Tokyo on the first leg of the race and face a U-Turn.
How awkward would it be being one of the pairs that doesn't know their partner. Huge disadvantage in my opinion.

i think it could also be an adv because even if you dont date, you know the person less so less personal feelings could get in the wya and it could be about the game only

Just finished watching the second episode. The legs seem very short don't they? I'm not digging this twist very much. Hopefully this season gets better.

I've actually been really enjoying this season. Not a lot of high level drama, but overall I find the cast generally likable and interesting to watch.
The tasks have been pretty meh imo. Really similar to TAR24. The US version should really take notes from TARCanada, some of the best tasks I've ever seen.
The teams left are fine though. After the first 4 teams were eliminated, I started enjoying the cast.
I'm sad Jeff & Jackie left, they were my favorites. They seemed to really have a connection. I'm rooting for Blair only because he's bae but his partner is so annoying. Other than that I don't really care for the other teams left. Maybe Mike and Ashley. They seem to be the underdog at this point. Mike and Rochelle are okay as well-- also the underdogs. They seem to be getting that final 3 edit tbh. Tyler and Laura have the best chance at winning but Mike and Ashley aren't far behind.
The only thing I hate about this season - talking about relationship at the finish of each leg. Like, "Do you think you can fall in love with each other" or smth like that.

I'm team Mike & Rochelle ,I love their story and they are the last real relationship.they are the underdogs for sure but hell if the candy girls can win , ANYONE can.
Also I like Blair but I don't want him to win because his partner doesn't deserve the money. She is just a nightmare .
