Behind the Screen: When Twilight Attacks...

For over two decades, MTV's The Challenge has been the proving ground where reality TV's fiercest competitors come to cement their legacies. What started as a Real World/Road Rules spinoff has evolved into one of the most physically and mentally demanding competition series on television.

The franchise's expansion — with spinoffs in the USA, UK, Argentina, and Australia — speaks to a global appetite for the brand of cutthroat competition and alliance-driven gameplay that Vevmo's community has been tracking since 2007.

OMG, I am LMAO over here, LOL. That is too funny...

This is the sad story of a young woman, an aspiring dancer, who said something negative and became the victim of a hate crime. It is a seven page thread, but worth the quick read...

When Twilight Attacks...

I found an interesting forum today that is keeping track of rabid Twilight fans attacking people because they don't like the series. The Twihard Attack Directory Only click on the link if you have a lot of time to burn. The list of attacks is extensive and ranges from simple punching and scratching to full on felony assault. It shows the vast wave of insanity that this movie has caused in the teen population. User image Two normal looking teen girls, moments before a Twirage outburst.

Um, pretty sure I've played soccer for the greater majority of my life and throwing someone into the boards is not allowed. Trust me, I've tried. I got kicked out. Can that really be classified as a hate crime, V?

That forum is my second favorite forum in the world. It is filled with life changing stories about adversity and the cruel and calculated demeanor of the virulent hate tribes that have formed in our society who lash out against and then discard those who hold different opinions about teenie novels. I personally think it is hilarious...I bet she will think twice about ****ing with the psychotic twitards after that. I like the books but that doesn't mean that I would physically harm someone who didn't, or even encourage someone else too. But the mental picture I got from the entire scene was pure gold. First we get internet-thuggin and now we have Twilight thuggin, what is next?

While hate crimes are defined by statute and vary by jurisdiction, I don't immediately know of any where this would actually be one. I was using literary license to make a point regarding the foolishness and absurdity of anyone who would actually assault someone over an opinion about a book. The attacker's parents must be so ashamed proud of their daughter, as evidenced of their intent to appeal the court ruling in the case.
