Behind the Screen: Washington Heights (TV series)

For over two decades, MTV's The Challenge has been the proving ground where reality TV's fiercest competitors come to cement their legacies. What started as a Real World/Road Rules spinoff has evolved into one of the most physically and mentally demanding competition series on television.

The franchise's expansion — with spinoffs in the USA, UK, Argentina, and Australia — speaks to a global appetite for the brand of cutthroat competition and alliance-driven gameplay that Vevmo's community has been tracking since 2007.

I TOTALLY agree Renzi. Episode 2 actually aired...

this sentence makes absolutely no sense.
Nostalgic#94
Yes it does. Thank you very much. I'm saying I can't help but laugh at the Buckwild Stans who think its remotely entertaining over a show like this.

I've tried really hard to like this show but cannot seem to even sit through it. The first episode was almost painful! It was 2 hours too long! I thought, let me give it another shot. But the second episode was even worse. It's ridiculously boring! yawn!
Nostalgic#96
I think if more people, you know, kept an open mind it wouldn't have been "painful" like say later seasons of Jersey Shore or Buckwild is now.

within the first 30 minutes I was having a hard time believing it wasn't scripted either! Thats another reason I don't find it entertaining. Trust me I have an open mind, but personally I completely agree with others, I find this show extremely boring!

I like Ludwin and Frankie so pardon me if my judgement gets in the way, lmao. But yeah if this is scripted so are many of MTV series like Parental Control, Disaster Date, Jersey Shore and Buckwild (shudders).

But usually you don't feel as if the other reality shows are scripted until much later in the seasons. Lol I do like Ludwin as well!

Ludwin and Diana are acting I think as well. That whole relationship made me wanna throw up my lunch. Then his brother looks like he was feening on drugs.

They never show reruns of this show during the week, so I'm sensing that this might be another MTV one-season wonder. They sure have no problem showing reruns of Buckwild 20x a day and the same old episodes of Ridiculousness over and over.

They are giving it the Battle of the Seasons treatment and BOTS didn't do this bad, or THAT bad. They did show the reruns for the second episode a couple of times before last Thursday.

I'm not even a big fan of this show (plus I find Buckwild MUCH more entertaining, btw) but even I am fed up with how MTV treats their shows with bad ratings. Maybe if they showed reruns during the week and advertised more people would actually watch?

I hope not. I really like WH and am sick an tired of seeing redneck people on my screen getting multiple seasons for acting stupid. With Jersey Shore I was lenient because it was semi-refreshing.

They did in fact, I wish they would've done it more though.

Me too! Arilicious I am totally with your sentiments. Like I got tired and tired of them showing the same multiple episodes of Ridiculous. They have even went as far as showing 2011 episodes. What ever happened to degrassi reruns? Or hell Death Valley?
wutzrenzi#105
Is the show "Ridiculous" even necessary? Like weve seen these clips on youtube, spike tv, tosh.o and vh1.
Nostalgic#106
Yes!

I'm curious, did any white people on this forum watch this show?
nevidcm#109
I was actually interested in this show, but after watching the ratings for the first episode I gave up on it since it was gonna be cancelled anyway.

No. I remember we had a College Hill thread and the same question being asked. That's all MTV seems to cater to as well. So sad because this was actually a GOOD show.

There was resolution so I don't see why you did that. :(
