Just got done watching the first episode and it was so boring. These people are lame. I don't know how old they are (I'm assuming 17/18) but the cast should have been at least 21.

This show is JUST LIKE Baldwin Hills.. Even though I like it, I don't find anything special about it. I think it should have been put on VH1 and aired on the same day as Love & Hip Hop and Black Ink Crew; though I don't think it'll need help ratings wise, they might help it get even more viewership.

The shown itself I feel is going to be good. however, along with all other shows that have a 2 hour premier, it was quite boring. For example jersey shore season 6 had a 2 hour premier I think and that too was realllly boring.

How will it get good ratings? Who is the standout star who will keep people coming back? I don't see no Joselines, Evelyns or Dritas, not even a Snooki. I mean the best line to come out of someones mouth all episode was "ready to mingle. pop it like a pringle" or something along those lines, I can't even remember it is was that lame, and I only watched it an hour or so ago. I reckon it will be 2 million for last nights episode and downhill for the rest of the season.

I agree, I thought two hours was a bit much. I wonder why they decided to do that..? The some of the best shows that Viacom airs like Basketball Wives, Love & Hip Hop, Mob Wives, etc.. don't even do that

I'm going off of social media. It was a USA trending topic for the entire two hours. Most of the tweets were about hate for Eliza, though. It would be a biiiiiiigg wake-up-call for Viacom and MTV if the show does bad after all of that promotion.

Fair enough, at the end of the day there are a lot of shows that I don't rate that do well.

I find it interesting that you enjoy shows like Buckwild and is convinced that they're not all trashbag **** *****s. But shows like Washington Heights are just lame. That says a lot.

I watched it too and thought it was boring. Not a single interesting thing happened.

Oh I know Buckwild is trashy, I just said that it isn't as trashy as people are making out. Also I never said shows like Washington Heights are lame, I said the people on Washington Heights are. I wouldn't choose to spend my night hanging out on a roof top, reciting poetry, with any of those people.

This show is NOTHING like Baldwin Hills....like at all. With Baldwin Hills the people were children of famous people, here they are just there. I mean I like WH better but still....

Take the famous aspect out and they're the same show; Headstrong minority teens living their lives

Still though, I have a feeling the WH cast will be more productive than that of Baldwin Hills. I mean besides Moriah being in the army or acting the rest did nothing. Well Justin was in The Outsyders, the people who wrote Womanizer.

This looks more like a hipster version of the Hills than a Dominican Jersey Shore/Buckwild.

This is just...wow. Soooooo much promotion and a good time-slot. Anyone wanna take a guess at why it went wrong? The commercials had conflict, love, drama.. all that. I think it was totally on the wrong channel. I don't want this to sound ignorant, but I don't think that the audience they were aiming for are avid viewers of MTV; it would have done better on VH1. They could have at least ran MTV promos during Basketball Wives LA or Love & Hip Hop.

If ratings keep flopping, I wouldn't be surprise if they change its timeframe.

If not VH1 I'm thinking this is more fitting for BET, TeenNick, The CW and maybe ABC Family.

Would have been perfect since it's also owned by Viacom.

Hopefully this is a wake up call to MTV that the need to stop shunning The Real World. If they want consistent ratings then that is the show they need to be promoting. I'm so excited for Portland, It has a great chance now of putting The Real World back on top at MTV.

Alright, this is starting to scare me now.

My thoughts on Buckwild - It's just like why most of America watches newer Real World seasons, we tune in to see what train-wrecks they will put on and how they interact together. No one wants to watch a show about young people who don't have issues that push them to the limit..it's just boring. We can get that in our everyday lives, so why watch it?

I'm not surprise Buckwild is getting good ratings though, I'm not sure what thread it was but someone posted the tv ratings and it was nothing but shows like Duck Dynasty and Honey Boo Boo like shows on top. I really hope this faux pas fades quickly!! -.-

It's because the commercials looked stupid and confusing. That one line of "I wanna jump his bones. I wanna give him a religion" completely turned me off from ever wanting to watch this just because of how weird and stupid it sounded.
