Behind the Screen: UFC 100- Lesnar vs Mir II

For over two decades, MTV's The Challenge has been the proving ground where reality TV's fiercest competitors come to cement their legacies. What started as a Real World/Road Rules spinoff has evolved into one of the most physically and mentally demanding competition series on television.

The franchise's expansion — with spinoffs in the USA, UK, Argentina, and Australia — speaks to a global appetite for the brand of cutthroat competition and alliance-driven gameplay that Vevmo's community has been tracking since 2007.

I'm going to say Lesnar on this one. He's gotten better and plus I'm a huge WWE fan;)...

UFC 100- Lesnar vs Mir II

Most of you don't know, but I am a HUGE UFC fan. I was wondering if there were any others on this site. Coming up this sunday is The Ultimate FIghting Championship's 100th pay per view event which can be viewed by contacting your local cable provider. Since I am training to become an eventual mixed martial artist, I usually like to express my feelings about upcoming fights. So here I go. Main Event: UFC Heavyweight Championship: Brock Lesnar (c) vs Frank Mir I saw the first fight between these two and I really think Lesnar had the octagon jitters because it was his first fight in the octagon. He had his foot in the wrong area and being the veteran that he is, Mir locked in the heel hook to submit Lesnar. However, Lesnar has been on a roll, receiving a unanimous decision victory over Pride/UFC veteran Heath Herring and knocking out former UFC Heavyweight Champion Randy Couture. Lesnar has been working alot on his Brazilian Jiu Jitsu defense since his last fight with Mir back at UFC 81: Breaking Point, which is available now on DVD at any local media store near you. My Prediction: Brock Lesnar Ko's Frank Mir in the 2nd round, retains championship UFC Welterweight Championship: Georges "Rush" St. Pierre (c) vs Thiago "Pitbull" Alves Brazilians are growing in the sport of mixed martial arts and Alves is no exception. Alves has wins over talented UFC veterans Josh Koscheck and Chris "Lights Out" Lytle, as well as a win over quite possibly the best Welterweight to ever participate in Mixed Martial Arts, Former UFC Welterweight Champion Matt Hughes. Alves has also steamrolled the famous Judo expert Karo "The Heat" Parisyan at UFC Fight Night 13. Georges St. Pierre will be the toughest test to date in Alve's MMA career. Meanwhile, GSP has defeated fighters such as Matt Hughes (twice), BJ Penn (twice), Matt Serra, Sean Sherk, and Frank Trigg. GSP has proven he can hang with the best as well as be the best. GSP is currently on a five fight win streak as well as a two fight successful title defense streak. My Prediction: It will be a back and forth battle but ultimately, Georges St. Pierre will hold on to his championship. St. Pierre is so well rounded that there is no way he can be defeated. Plus, he has switched training camps since last losing the welterweight title to Matt Serra back at UFC 69. St Pierre wins via Split decision after 5 rounds. Other fights include: Michael "The Count" Bisping vs Dan Henderson Jon Fitch vs Paulo Thiago Yoshihiro Akiyama vs Alan "Talent" Belcher Preliminarys: Light Heavyweight bout: User image Mark Coleman vs. User image Stephan Bonnar[1] Lightweight bout: User image Mac Danzig vs. User image Jim Miller[1] Light Heavyweight bout: User image Jon Jones vs. User image Jake O'Brien[1] Welterweight bout: User image Dong Hyun Kim vs. User image TJ Grant[1] Middleweight bout: User image C.B. Dollaway vs. User image Tom Lawlor [1] Lightweight bout: User image Matt Grice vs. User image Shannon Gugerty[1]
