Behind the Screen: Tila Tequila "Because of Me"

For over two decades, MTV's The Challenge has been the proving ground where reality TV's fiercest competitors come to cement their legacies. What started as a Real World/Road Rules spinoff has evolved into one of the most physically and mentally demanding competition series on television.

The franchise's expansion — with spinoffs in the USA, UK, Argentina, and Australia — speaks to a global appetite for the brand of cutthroat competition and alliance-driven gameplay that Vevmo's community has been tracking since 2007.

I actually liked season 1 then with the stuff that came out after and then this season I have just completely started to dislike her. She just wanted all those people to fight over her and then made it look like she was a victim in the end with her heart being broken. I don't hate(dislike is more like it) her so I will wish her luck in whatever she does next even if she is lame lol

Actually, rating for "The Hills" and "Tila Tequilla: A shot at Love" have faded this season. MTV needs its venerable flagship Real World to sustain many of the network's fans who can easily escape to the reality offerings at Bravo, Oxygen, A&E, Discovery, and of course, VH1.

That is a good point there is alot of competition out there and how Tila got good ratings in the first place is a mystery so it needs the Real World to pick up the slack for them. Doesn't bother me I can live with less space between seasons.

This probably deserves to be placed in a different thread, but I just learned yesterday that Tila received @ $125,000 per episode this season. With those $$$$ it certainly is attractive to pay off Kristy to ensure there is an up-front reason to have a season 3. ;)

WOW that is really crazy that is more than some people make in a year and she gets it per episode. Which in turn gives Tila more than enough reason to keep doing it as long as she is allowed and they don't pull the plug. So getting turned down gets her another go and more money. Oh btw Happy 4th!

I hate to harp on this, but she is not getting turned down. This is a television show that is soft scripted, not reality. Of course she was going to get "rejected." They wanted another season. It was not like, "Oh well, I got turned down, at least I can have another season because I am making 125 G's per ep." lol Actually, if the ratings remain good she will probably get turned down next season (or decide she doesn't like anyone in the cast) if you follow me here...

Also shooting me down Bacchus lol I was sort of agreeing anyway in the last post. Want another season? Have someone "reject" her on tv since last time that produced a sort of behind the scenes reason with Bobby "breaking her heart". I totally see where you are coming from.
