Monica is going to be voted out the first time the returnees lose now. Brad handled the situation horribly and put Monica in a bad spot. He should have said that he wasn't the leader and that it appeared that way to the people who didn't know what was going on.

Such a funny episode!!! Colton's breakdown was hilarious... Jeff's comments.. priceless. I kinda feel bad for John because he is new to the game, but common man... there are some basic rules to survivor that i'm sure Candice told you. Now I have to see my fav couple go at it in RI... and he is going to let her win. Wah... he's too good-looking to go this early!! :P ... and yeah Brad has to go

There is more to Survivor than just getting rid of the weakest players. John potentially having an idol and making the merge could be dangerous and getting Rachel out in the hopes of getting Tyson to swap was a great idea. Getting the weaker players out is better for the short term, but not the long term. I am sure Vytas knows that Aras and Tina are going to be allied because they are the only 2 winners, so keeping Katie and any of her allies around is a good idea so he can flip sides if needed once the merge comes.

Winning Survivor has a lot to do with having the numbers especially in the beginning of the merge which means you have to win some early challenges and your chances of winning one is far bigger with John/Marissa/Rachel than Ciera and Katie and speaking of the idea. This great idea was exposed by Tyson in front of everybody in the first few seconds which made a) the idea was worthless and b) Brad (and maybe the whole alliance) made his/their target already bigger and they have now one strong ennemie against them and they got exposed bad. I feel like some people need to stop play the game hard in the beginning, why don't they just play simple in the first two weeks.

You can't look at the decision to vote out Rachel as a failure because Tyson didn't switch. The thought process behind it was great and it was the best move they could have made at the point in time, Tyson even admitted so himself. You also have to realize that once the merge hits, the alliance you are in pre-merge might become obsolete. You need to have a grasp on what kind of alliance your loved one will be in if you plan on aligning with them after the merge. I am sure Vytas is aware that Tina and Aras are aligned, so it makes sense to keep Katie and any of her allies around for the numbers after the merge. Thinking long term is the best way to win the game, but it isn't the best way to ensure you make the merge.
