Behind the Screen: Survivor: Blood vs Water - My Brother's Keeper

Since its debut in 2000, Survivor has defined the reality competition genre with its mix of physical endurance, social strategy, and raw human drama. Jeff Probst's iconic tribal councils remain appointment television.

With the new era of shorter seasons and evolving twists, Survivor continues to reinvent itself while maintaining the core survival elements that have kept fans engaged across 50 seasons and counting.

Monica may be extremely trustworthy, but she's too paranoid for my liking. The trust has to go both ways to an extent...

I think voting Monica out would have also made more sense because she'd have a better chance to beat the brothers...

She'd probably get too paranoid that they were colluding together to beat her.

I am willing to bet that the next RI is going to be a puzzle. That way Tina can stay in it somehow and it'll come down to the brothers.

I really really really dislike Monica. Her paranoia is getting on my nerves. Kinda wish Tina made a fake idol and showed it to people. I feel like some of the newbies would have fell for it and possibly voted Monica.

I love Redemption Island because I like competition that has meaning. They could show show them the tape of tribals to get an accurate portrayal. All that said, I'd be all for Redemption Island just for the first half. Any season without Redemption Island is a waste to me

They got through 21 seasons of Survivor without RI. I think they did just fine without it.
The only argument I have for RI is that if I were on the show and got voted out, I'd want to turn right around and get back in the game immediately, wouldn't you? Redemption Island lets that happen, potentially. There is no doubt RI dilutes the entire premise of Survivor, and I'm not a fan of it but I understand the concept. I prefer reward challenges any day of the week. Also RI means no Survivor Auction, which is one of my favorite parts to watch too :frown-new: edit: You made a fantastic point about the Jury not getting to see the tribals molds! An uninformed jury may be even worse than a bitter one.

R.I after the merge is completely pointless.
