Behind the Screen: Scre4m

For over two decades, MTV's The Challenge has been the proving ground where reality TV's fiercest competitors come to cement their legacies. What started as a Real World/Road Rules spinoff has evolved into one of the most physically and mentally demanding competition series on television.

The franchise's expansion — with spinoffs in the USA, UK, Argentina, and Australia — speaks to a global appetite for the brand of cutthroat competition and alliance-driven gameplay that Vevmo's community has been tracking since 2007.

No, Dewey definitely needs to get the axe this movie. he pretty mich is on the verge of dieing in every movie. If one of them should live it should be Gale.
Yeah she should definately live...after all who else would write the sequel to the book??

Exactly. Who would report it to the masses. She is the character who must go on in the series. Dewey can be heroic and save her, but getting himself killed in the process.

any more news on this?

I hope they go through with this!!

While SCREAM 4 is still very much in the early stages of development, we have a few exclusive facts to kick start the hype. Fact #1: Kevin Williamson (writer of two of the SCREAM films (character credit on third)) is going to start writing a draft, although it may or may not become the shooting script (which is typical). Fact #2: Wes Craven may or may not direct, but there is a very good possibility that he will return. Fact #3: They are making financial offers to David Arquette, Courtney Cox Arquette and Neve Campbell to play cameos. Fact #4: This will be a younger version of the SCREAM movies.

Wonder what that means?

I think it means a younger overall cast. So 20 year olds vs. Neve Campbell aged (35) cast members.

OK gotcha. :)
Bacchus#72
Hmm, I was thinking more on this... I don't think they mean prequel as it would be hard to then incorporate the cameos mentioned.

They should not be doing another one. You should never do more than 3! Heck, I think that was even a rule in a Scream movie...

Hee! It was. And I agree, it's been too long since the trilogy wrapped up that any attempt to continue will just taint the series.

As scared as I am for it to suck....if Craven and Williamson are behind it, I'll def go check it out. I trust them.

Agreed I am a big horror freak, and the first one is a classic in eversy sense, but the series as a whole is good, but Craven is genius as well as Williamson, so I have faith, but cameos do not sit well with me. Either make them the stars, which they should, or leave them out completely. By the way, its nice to know I am not the only one who knows BD!
Seana18#78
Im pissed! LOL. Cameos? This is awful. I personally love all 3 movies and its my favorite horror series ever. Im mad.
GoldenWarrior#79
They never leave it alone...if something made or makes money they will try to build off that. Having Craven and Williamson on there would make you feel safer but it still seems like there is a chance it might not bring justice to the series. I'll still watch it though.

Hey I was just wondering if anyone has heard anything else on this??
Binary Solo#81
They probably could've quit after the second one actually.

I personally thought part 3 was very good in the sense that it gave the whole series some closure. Granted it borrowed a huge concept from part 1 (maternal abandonment and a thirst for revenge as a result) but that is what made part 3's plot so believable for me. Add to that the oustanding performance by Scott Foley that made me feel bad for the villain (I didn't feel bad for Billy or any of the others from the first two). I personally thought two was not all that but it worked as part of the Triology and was entertaining in its own right. That said, this movie should NOT happen. Especially if the original actors only have cameos - if that. Stop mucking up my horror movies already!! *End rant*
RockSteadyVybes#83
Not yet - I think its still in preproduction stages.

Where it should remain forever as to not taint what is a classic horror spoof. Not only are they planning on a Scream 4, but I get the impression there are planning a 5 and 6 as well. What I have read seems to infer they want to "reboot" the series. I can't think of one movie that I enjoyed with a 4 attached to it, let alone a 5 or 6.

That is exactly what I am saying! All of those are perfect examples of milking series that logically concluded in a trilogy, to lesser effect.

Halloween needed a fourth installment to save itself from the absolutely terrible third film. The third didn't even have Michael Myers in it!!!

That was their plan. Each Halloween was going to be different from the third on out but the fans went postal.

Honestly, 3 couldve and shouldve been WORLDS better than what it was. In my opinion, the series is kinda already tainted because of it. 1 and 2 are fantastic. And yeah...they want to reboot the series (stupid Weinsteins!). Kill kill, destroy destroy. I don't get how on earth they can reboot it and make it relevant to the series.
