Behind the Screen: Scre4m

For over two decades, MTV's The Challenge has been the proving ground where reality TV's fiercest competitors come to cement their legacies. What started as a Real World/Road Rules spinoff has evolved into one of the most physically and mentally demanding competition series on television.

The franchise's expansion — with spinoffs in the USA, UK, Argentina, and Australia — speaks to a global appetite for the brand of cutthroat competition and alliance-driven gameplay that Vevmo's community has been tracking since 2007.

Never said it wasn't clear... the whole concept of the movie just sucked. Right down to the writing.

This was awesome. The entire final act was phenomenal. Kirby ftw. Sidney ftw. HOWEVER, the "**** bruce willis" line was too Scary Movie for my tastes, especially considering who delivered it.

Buck - the problem with your ending (which, yes, to me...is a GREAT one, but doesn't come without risks) is that if they wanted to do a Scream 5 - we'd already know who the killer is. And what fun is that? Therefore, it just couldn't end like that.
I'm not concerned about a Scream 5 or whether it's even going to be made. I was simply stating what could have saved THIS film.

That knife to the head scene was so ridiculously stupid and drawn out.

I regret spending my money on this movie....I thought it sucked but it sucked slightly less than part 3 did, so I guess it's got that going for it. They should've stopped making these films after the first two just like most of the other horror franchises.

I guess I have mixed feelings about the movie. It was pretty much what I expected it to be, though, so I think I liked it more than I didn't. Some of the parts in the movie were just downright hilarious, and sometimes I don't think that was the case. Out of the core three actors, David Arquette seemed to be in the movie the least. Courteney Cox was brilliant and you could really tell she enjoyed being there. Neve Campbell was good as Sidney as usual.
SpoilerThe revelation of Emma Roberts and Rory Culkin being the killers was less than thrilling. In the past three movies, all the reveals were like "oh my gosh! it's him/her -- they've been interacting with the rest of the characters this whole time, how did they pull it off!?!" This time, though, the cast was almost never together, and didn't all interact with one another. And REALLY? Rory Culkin? I think, if anything, Emma Roberts should have been the killer by herself. Yes, it would have been harder for her to commit the crimes, but it also would have made more sense than adding Rory Culkin to the whole shebang. I think he wasn't in the movie long enough and didn't really do much to move the plot along until he was like "hey I'm the killer -- ohwaittheotherkillerjustkilledme."
If a murderer is ever coming after me with a knife, I think I know what I'm going to yell to make him stop. "I'm gay! ... if that helps."

Does anyone else think Emma Roberts' acting was terrible?!

No. I was actually pleasantly surprised with Emma Roberts. I wasn't expecting much from her but she killed (no pun intended) in the role. Especially in the final act.

I wonder why Ashley Greene did not take the role of Jill not saying Emma did bad she did well in my book.

It's like one of those actors/actresses that when they open their mouth and try to act tough, you just cringe because it's so bad.

Awesome movie. If I had to nitpick, I would have ditched the two stupid, useless cops & had made the parking garage scene shorter. Neve Campbell was great & there were some sweet chase scenes. I am definitely anticipating parts 5 & 6.

I can't remember where I read this, but Wes said they had the new cast audition by reading scenes from Scream 1, 2, and 3...therefore, nothing would get out about the plot to 4. So what I think happened with Emma is that:
SpoilerShe read Sidney lines in her audition, and they threw the curveball that she'd be the killer way later.....her end scenes definitely could've been a bit better :/
