Behind the Screen: The Ruins: Nick Brown - MTV

For over two decades, MTV's The Challenge has been the proving ground where reality TV's fiercest competitors come to cement their legacies. What started as a Real World/Road Rules spinoff has evolved into one of the most physically and mentally demanding competition series on television.

The franchise's expansion — with spinoffs in the USA, UK, Argentina, and Australia — speaks to a global appetite for the brand of cutthroat competition and alliance-driven gameplay that Vevmo's community has been tracking since 2007.

Im hoping he will do better this time around. I started to like him on the Hollywood season...

The Ruins: Nick Brown - MTV

Phoenix ·
User image Nick Brown The Real World Hollywood You'll remember Nick as one of the roommates from The Real World: Hollywood. The Jamaican-born ladies' man has been pursuing his career in entertainment since appearing on the show, hosting fashion shows, fundraisers and other events. He also appeared on an episode of of Tyra Banks' Sex in Tyra's City, where he offered a New York bachelor's perspective on New York women. He's in the midst of forming his own production company and developing an online video show. Nick was also a cast member on The Duel 2, but was the first to be eliminated. Will he do better on The Ruins? Challenges: The Duel 2, The Ruins New Rochelle, New York

Lol, Nick should call up Chris Brown and make a dance song called "The Movement".

He better not get injured and let the wrong people know about it just like on the Duel 2.

I am strangely drawn to Nick for some reason. I dont like black guys, white boys are more my thing. The whiter the better lol. But I think Nick is hot, I really like him. I really like him getting in Kenny's face. I wish he wouldve hit him.

Nick is always going to be a favorite of mine, no matter how he does in challenges. He is friendly, well spoken and accessible. I always wish him the best.

Accessible, eh? ;)

I didn't like him at all on Hollywood but he has grown on me a little since then.

Nick looks hotter and hotter to me as well (And I do usually like black guys! He just didn't catch my eye as much as others). Kenny wishes he looked as good as Nick! What was he trying to say, calling him a donut? Nick sure didn't seem to be afraid of Kenny. I guess maybe Kenny was trying to say because he was beat by Ryan, he is not a good competitor. Though his comment about the ladies on the challenge and what they do for him was on the corny side, though, I must admit. Sorry Nick. I hope he gets further on this challenge than the last one, though.

A lot of things that says are slightly corny.

It's always a good idea to promote violence.

Nick is a really good looking guy - accessible (overly, even) - well spoken, yes, but a total D-bag when it comes to women. I found him fairly nice and we even had some things in common as far as backgrounds go but I found out recently first and second hand that his attitude sucks and ego is out of control. According to a really good friend of mine, someone who went to school with him and was an acquaintance, he was "smelling himself" before he ever got on the real world. Too bad. I think he'd probably have a more viable character/career if he were more humble and less cheesy. I don't wish him ill though - hope he does well in the challenge but I feel like the other boys are always pretty intense on these challenges.

I like Nick and I like Kenny too. But I wouldn't want them to get into a fight, because Kenny would probably "move" him.

Nick's not one of my favorites. Never mind I think "the movement" stuff is lame or the "I only date blondes" shirt. lol. Bet he was soooo mad the fight he had with Kenny didn't even air.

I think the was saying that because they had gotten into a fight. It's on the Dailies site, and it happened while they were breaking up Darrell and Wes.

Yeah, I saw that daily clip. But if that's the case why Kenny called him a donut, it doesn't make sense to me, because Nick did step to him. I assume the donut comment means he's soft.

Between them and JEK, I'd rather hang myself. That said, I don't know who's worse: Will or Kenny.

I'd rather see Ryan, Tyler, or Davis (sarcasm)

I have to say... I'm not a very big fan of this guy. He just seems kind of diluted between the ears and thinks he's some big huge superstar (making lame business cards of himself... ***?) when his reality TV career spans like 5 episodes across 3 different shows. It's bad enough when reality TV personalities think they're A list celebrities but when they've only been on television like 5 times, you have to just shake your head and laugh.

I've actually talked to Nick a few times, and let me just say...you're wrong. He hardly thinks he's an "A-list celebrity." In fact he's extremely humble and down to earth. He works very hard for everything he tries to achieve and doesn't rely on his "reality persona" to get him there. As for making his own business cards...why not? If you don't promote yourself, who else will do it? Seems to me like you don't know him, so you can't assume how he thinks for feels. Try Tweeting him sometime, or joining in on one of his Ustream chats. You'll see a very friendly side to him that appreciates feedback from others. I'm sure you'll be quite surprised.
