Behind the Screen: The Ruins: Ep. 3 - The Road to Ruins

For over two decades, MTV's The Challenge has been the proving ground where reality TV's fiercest competitors come to cement their legacies. What started as a Real World/Road Rules spinoff has evolved into one of the most physically and mentally demanding competition series on television.

The franchise's expansion — with spinoffs in the USA, UK, Argentina, and Australia — speaks to a global appetite for the brand of cutthroat competition and alliance-driven gameplay that Vevmo's community has been tracking since 2007.

Johanna's response about Wes donating the money to charity was funny to me. And he is not really much better than the other people, I feel...

Is it me, or does Syrus only appear on confessionals one time per episode. What happened to his Inferno days...

I want Challengers to win.

Wow Casey, you sounded so excited. PS Danny, you got something uh...on your lip there.
VRevis#37
I love how they have to say "Hey guys! We just got a clue on our T-Mobile Sidekick!" just after the jingle. Sounds so natural. Edited to change "plug" to "clue". Nice slip.

What's this reality check that Danny is talking about? That IN REALITY the Challengers are stronger than the Champions? And that the Challengers haven't won a challenge for a reason? Haha, Danny is an idiot.
SteveSparxx#39
:D SYRUS Just broke the record for himself this challenge! He just made his second confessional appearance in an episode!
dplayer18#40
I hope Syrus gets more airtime soon.
Gucci Mane#41
Sigh, all I wanted was for Syrus to speak...now I want him to shutup.

Does anybody know where a video might be of Aneesa and Brad and the T-Mobile Sidekick? I love it and keep replaying it in my head everytime someone says T-Mobile..."OOOH we got a clue on our T-Mobile SIDEKICK!", "NO WAY!".

Eww, is that a soul patch? If he can't grow a beard, he needs to shave.

LMAO you quoted me before I changed my slip. I meant "clue" not "plug"! Oops.

Haha sorry, it just reminded me of the Gauntlet 2 moment.

I like how Evan said "us 4 and Johnny". It's so obvious that Johnny is the 3rd wheel in the Johnny-Evan-Kenny alliance.
TheQuietOne#47
Ugggggh, I forgot that I've never cared too much for Susie.
Morris1721#48
Anybody else remember when the challenges weren't all about masterminding your way to the end?

LOL, Let's not forget the whole Gauntlet 3 fiasco with The Eye for Alba with Kenny and Evan. :)

When they were actually about competition? Yes, I miss those days soooo much.

Yeah. Even Chadwick's alliance from Battle of the Seasons doesn't seem as nasty compared to stuff in these later challenges. And I thought he was so "wrong" for that.

I actually liked Johnny when he said that about Veronica...because it's SO true.
Morris1721#53
So episode 1 Casey says she's here to party, now she's here to win. Honestly answer me this with the Casey situation. If you are brought up in a discussion about going in even once, and a vote breaks out, is it not pretty much guarenteed that that person is going to be voted in? It seems liek it to me because since someone brought up another person, everybody else wants to follow along because they wont look like the "bad guy" who came up with the person in the first place. Anybody understand that? lol

Ah yes, the good old days. I only have fading memories of when performance mattered...

At least Wes has a day off haha.

Nothing would me happier than seeing Veronica vs. Casey. Either way I would be very happy.
Morris1721#59
A reason I may like Evan the best out of JEK is cause he has funny comments, unlike Kenny's multiple failures.

As much as I dislike him, he is smart. His mental capabilities is what gets him ahead/

Cohutta is my favorite guy on the challenger's team!
