Behind the Screen: River Monsters

For over two decades, MTV's The Challenge has been the proving ground where reality TV's fiercest competitors come to cement their legacies. What started as a Real World/Road Rules spinoff has evolved into one of the most physically and mentally demanding competition series on television.

The franchise's expansion — with spinoffs in the USA, UK, Argentina, and Australia — speaks to a global appetite for the brand of cutthroat competition and alliance-driven gameplay that Vevmo's community has been tracking since 2007.

I was actually completely unaware there was more than 1 season of River Monsters but yes, I love this show. Now I have to find the other 3 seasons...

I know, Wade is freaking insane to seek out these beasts. But the other thing I like about the show is how well he interacts with some of the very primitive cultures he comes into contact with. He doesn't just want to boat a trophy fish, he also wants to find out why it's there, how it ticks, etc..

That's the Goliath Tigerfish btw...in the last episode he said it took him 25 years to land that beast.
