Behind the Screen: The Real World San Diego: La Jolla (2011)

For over two decades, MTV's The Challenge has been the proving ground where reality TV's fiercest competitors come to cement their legacies. What started as a Real World/Road Rules spinoff has evolved into one of the most physically and mentally demanding competition series on television.

The franchise's expansion — with spinoffs in the USA, UK, Argentina, and Australia — speaks to a global appetite for the brand of cutthroat competition and alliance-driven gameplay that Vevmo's community has been tracking since 2007.

No its not. People do it all the time with stuff relating to entertainment.

On that Real World Secrets Revealed show before Brooklyn, one of the producers said that they noticed a big change in how casts were with the Miami season. Beginning with that season, people were way more into the sex and stuff than they were in previous seasons. That generational divide in the show may be something to consider in comparing old and new.

So Frank and Zach are friends now ? Lol I don't know why I'm not surprised also Did Zashely broke up? Also Alex has been looking all sorts of pretty lately.

This season is currently available on On Demand through a lot of cable providers, although they left off the Reunion.

The 3 seasons on Facebook also left off the reunions and after-shows, I wish they included them.

The only season I’ve never finished. I tried rewatching it a year ago and it really is terrible.

I refuse to watch anything where Zach/Frank & all their sexual tension is the main focus. On Seasons 2 there were a lot more people that got TV time at least.

You have to admit if Frank wasn’t on that season would have literally been unwatchable, well more that it already is

Frank made that season unwatchable. His insecurities, his sideways interviews, his need to be friends with Zach and Ashley, his acting like a lunatic. Ugh. I'm sure whoever they would have cast instead would have been better. A lot of the cast was a bust but he was like a cockroach. Everything about the season from having them live in the suburbs to giving them a job with no drama or responsibility to focusing on pranks, to changing the drinking rules... just a bad bad season.

I think what Frank went through was all too real and seeing him so messy was real as well. It was really tough to watch.
