Behind the Screen: Real World: New Orleans - Episode 5

For over two decades, MTV's The Challenge has been the proving ground where reality TV's fiercest competitors come to cement their legacies. What started as a Real World/Road Rules spinoff has evolved into one of the most physically and mentally demanding competition series on television.

The franchise's expansion — with spinoffs in the USA, UK, Argentina, and Australia — speaks to a global appetite for the brand of cutthroat competition and alliance-driven gameplay that Vevmo's community has been tracking since 2007.

I'm surprised so many people thought this episode was so boring. It definitely wasn't as good as the past 2 weeks, but it wasn't horrible...

I wonder about some of the things said in this thread sometimes, lol. I mean the episode was hardly boring...

Real World: New Orleans - Episode 5

I'm surprised so many people thought this episode was so boring. It definitely wasn't as good as the past 2 weeks, but it wasn't horrible. Maybe because I actually like and care about this cast (except Ryan), but it kept my interest. I will say though that this is like the 3rd episode in a row to deal with Jemmye/Knight and McKenzie's drinking so we could move onto something else. But I still enjoyed this episode more than, say, most episodes DC had to offer.

I didn't think this episode was bad at all. Oh no people weren't having sex! I enjoy episodes like this because they deal with REAL LIFE issues (domestic abuse, alcoholism, etc) and the show is titled THE REAL WORLD. ... and I know exactly how that feels with Jemmye. Kodi's family wanting nothing to do with her... I dated someone and had the same thing happen. Her father practically wanted me dead so I felt bad for Jemmye. :(

Compared to DC, this is one of the best episodes ever! LOL....it was good. Not a lot of drama, but still kept my attention. Oh Jeymme.....I'm happy she found the strength to leave an abusive relationship, NOBODY DESERVES TO ABUSED!

I think any season, definitely including this one, has been way better than DC so far.

I didn't see it as them wanting nothing to do with Jemmye I just think they didn't know about because he never mentioned her.

I attend Mississippi State and I can tell you right now that the reason Kodi was probably acting as sketchy as he was is because he had a girlfriend during this little "fling." Jemmye was known as the athlete groupie and being exposed on mtv is not a good look for Kodi. All i really know about his gf is that her name is Allyson. We had a class together and she was always seen in the family section along with her family at the basketball games..unlike Jemmye in this case. smh..
