You sign a contract going into Finals -- so anyone who has been to finals can't talk about the casting process (technically). I would imagine that if you make it on the show you then sign another contract. I'm not so sure all the hype and social media coverage has really helped the show; afterall, the ratings continue to dwindle. The people online who are actually following BMP and Real World are probably people that would watch the show anyways. If the show wants to increase viewers, they need to do something that will get them sustained headlines. Also -- MTV should stop doing the "after show" stuff, air something else in that spot, and then put up more ads for the RW. But the show will continue as long as it can consisently deliver average ratings for the network. Shows like Jersey Show are a fade and will fall quickly. If RW can maintain it's 1.5 to 3 million viewers, they'll be in good shape for a while.

I can't believe we don't have more pictures or cast names yet. It just seems to me like DC was so quick and I guess without the bloggers and buzz we may not have it for a while.

Let's be honest -- the reason we had all of those names and information is because BMP leaked it to us to try to stir up social media coverage. ;-) If DC's ratings were through the roof right now -- they would be leaking more information to us. That's my conspiracy theory.

haha. hey it's a good theory. Could very well be true. But I feel like even Brooklyn we had a little more info than this too.

Not leaked. There were just fame *****s stalking them to bars, the bathroom, etc and they got first names, which lead to facebook accounts, which lead to full disclosure (most of which were reported here by members and the moderation team.)

It took a long, long time to get the Brooklyn cast. There were photos posted in blogs and here, but no names. Leads came in over time. Let's not forgetting the media/blogging scene in DC and New York is worlds apart from that of New Orleans. I can't even name any blogs or major publications (besides the Times Picayune) in New Orleans, but I can probably name a few hundred in New York and Washington DC off the top of my head (basically every blog of any import that is not in LA.)

And It took tell the end of production of Cancun to know who made the cast and We knew 2 castmembers

I just think that with the events of Washington D.C. being so publicized by so many bloggers maybe it would've upped the amount of interest int he Real World's events. Like more stalkers and such.

There appears to be an Eric Patrick who went to Westfield High in Chantilly, VA and graduated in 2003, who has a few cached Facebook posts but deleted Facebook profile. Strong chance this might be a cast member. Do a google search for " "Eric Patrick " "westfield" site:facebook.com " and hit Cache to see his posts

One thing always leads to another. I would assume it's from Googling "Eric Patrick, comedian" and having his WVU profile come up.

I'm the girl with the leather jacket and brown hair, this was at the republic Friday, right? I met half the cast there's two Ryans, Preston, Jimmy, Eric, a blonde girl that i forgot her name but they were all really nice and the Ryan that i talked to half the night said that his nick name is "knight" like knight in shining armor.

Not 5 guys. Jimmye's a girl. She bought me a drink. Well I payed for her drink too an she bought them cuz I'm not 21. But yea I was with Nola at the republic and they were really cool ppl. And all the names r right. And one of the girls name is Hollywood. But yea it was awesome.

um the ryan i talked to is from wisconsin and he has a sister who is 19, he was a really nice guy and some guys were trying to start a fight and the black guy preston (who i think is gay) shouted lets all just party and take shots!

Actual name of Hollywood? Or just a nickname? Thanks for the info, it's going to help people piece things together.
