User image User image "Sahar grew up in a conservative Arab community in Dearborn, MI. It would be easy to assume that because of that she's a submissive, conservative girl. But that would not be the case. She's a strong-willed, liberal Muslim who is not easily intimidated. Expect her to speak her mind. Sahar was fortunate to have parents who allowed her a bit more space to be herself; however, there are still things that she was forced to hide from her community, like her virginity... or lack thereof. Although in a vague long-distance relationship, Sahar is used to turning heads and is constantly crushing on boys-- but just wait until she meets roommate Eric! A budding singer/songwriter, Sahar looks to explore more of this career in New Orleans, no matter what anyone in her conservative community thinks." via MTV Cast Bio Singer and actress (hence the nickname "Hollywood"). Lebanese-American. Muslim. Originally frrom Dearborn Heights, Michigan. Searches say she is 21. Has one older brother and sister. Graduated from Fordson High School in 2006. Was a member of Fordson High School's International Thespian Society. User image This is a cached picture from her Facebook page. Nice. She acted decently in the short horror movie. Too bad RW will probably kill her chances at a real acting career.

This girl's an International Thespian and the other girl is a broadcasting major (I'm both of those things! Zomg!)... What's not to like? :)

She's hot and pretty much she looks like another Svetlana. Also just about any female that has "singer and "actress" they will bring the dramz to the show.

Oh I know Just Saying that from the last three years of all BMP shows all the muslim women have had amazing personas so I was hoping she was one like Parisa,Neven and Flo of the Bad Girls Club.
Anonymous#13
Neveen from bad girls club? Amazing? She was entertaining but far from anything like Parisa..the bad girls club is a different type of show and you can't compare them to the girls that get cast on the Real World....just no.
Npresh24#14
Again wasn't comparing them I said there personas were amazing and I hoped that Hollywood would have an amazing persona as well

hey guys, I found out some info about Sahar & her family. Sahar's middle name is Rifaat according to the only listing of a Sahar Dika in Dearborn Heights. In Arabic culture your middle name is the first name of your father. That's when I ran into a Rifaat Dika. Rifaat, her father is an Arabic/ Socio professor who taught at Wayne State University located in Dearborn, MI, but currently teaches Arabic at the University of Michigan -Dearborn. He was quoted in an article of Metrotimes from 2001 Metro Times - News+Views: In the name of patriotism Apparently she has a brother named Tarek who is about 26 years old student at John's Hopkins. According to this USAToday.com article USATODAY.com - Stressed-out U.S. evacuees arrive in Maryland he was present during the 2006 Lebanese Israeli Conflict & Sahar might've been there as well. Sahar's friend in the Ghost Window Video, Ahmed is friends with a fairly popular youtube channel called the DecimalBrothers. So she's surrounded by people who love recording with their cameras. Sahar attended Henry Ford Community College and performed THE FEMALE ODD COUPLE HFCCtheater.org Also is in this video, her credit shows up at 2 mins RuthlessHD.mpg she appears as her character at the 10 min mark her are some stills from the movie User imageUser image She's also in this short film YouTube - In The End (Short Film by Ahmed Ghani)

Not necessaarily. She's not Jacinda after all. Great info Pali. I went to look at Parminder Nagra (Neela Rasgotra of ER) to see if her middle name was the same as her father but its not. I guess it doesn't work for indian culture.
Npresh24#19
I read the first post and Pari post that why I was a tad confused
Old Friend#20
Its okay it happens. I was confused too about the whole middle name thing so its cool.

"Hollywood?" I don't really like the idea of having actors on the real world. Looking for fame+being fake (acting) for the loss. An actor can mold their personality and be political/act better than most, which is contrary to the "being in the moment" realness of the show. This isn't a judgment against her, but against MTV.
Wilderwolf#30
The other cast members nicknamed her Hollywood. This could be because she loves to sing and wants to be a singer, or for a reason we have yet to see.
