Behind the Screen: Real World: New Orleans 2 - Episode 2

The reality TV landscape has never been more crowded or more diverse. From dating shows to competition series to docusoaps, networks and streamers are betting big on unscripted content.

What sets the great shows apart is their ability to create genuine moments — the kind of unscripted drama that no writer's room could manufacture. That's what keeps fans coming back.

OMG I just had a flashback to Keri from Real World: Chicago when I looked at McKenzie for a minute there. I swear I saw Keri when I looked at her...

I'm already over Ryan. SO OVER him! He can't leave the show soon enough, IMO.

I felt the same way 5 minutes into episode 1. ;)

First 10 minutes...3 dailies. Nope, make that 4. When are they going to start showing dailies that aren't going to be aired on the next episode?

LOL Bacchus. That's hilarious and totally understandable. How sad for Ryan :p

I was just about to say that. Everything they've shown so far has been from the dailies of the past week or so. This **** is ridiculous.

This season feels kidn of like a throwback with the feel of it. I really am feeling it.

That would be nice, huh? For them to post true deleted/exclusive clips on the dailies site... I mean, what's the point in posting those clips when they're just going to compile all of them into the following episode? :/

I do believe that addiction could very well be genetic for most folks. It is also a disease. Just my honest opinion.

Was it just me, or did I just see Emilee?

lol I missed it but what is it with these sightings of/flashbacks to past RWers this episode?? :p I saw Keri, you think you saw Emilee... I hope Coral or Melissa is next!!! :D

Yeah I noticed after watching the first episode that tons of stuff was already covered by the dailies. Solution: don't watch the dailies, it spoils and ruins the show. Man, Ryan gets weirder every show. I love him and he's entertaining, but...lol.

As much as I can't stand him, I definitely see a lot of myself in Ryan. I love cuddling too and I cuddle with absolutely anyone that wants to. Some people would comment how it'd be weird when I'd cuddling with a guy but I'd just say it's not a big deal and people would say I'm just comfortable with my sexuality. Well...I just came out as ******** a few weeks ago. haha

I feel like Jemmye should bother me, but she doesn't.

I'll have to watch this again (damn it) but it was in the bar scene, right toward the end...

Can somebody spoil me? Is Ryan going to leave? I can't watch this anymore.

If Cryin' Ryan hurt his shoulder, why is he limping everywhere?
Anonymous#20
I hope he leaves now. I can't stand another minute of him on my television.

AMEN!!!!!!! Whoever is casting this sh** needs to get fired!!!

Cryin' Ryan cannot say he "truly, truly wanted to be Knight's friend" when within the first ten minutes of being in the house he was making fun on Knight going by his last name and trying desperately to get out of sharing a room with him. I've been rolling my eyes at Ryan so much they're about to fall out of my head.

This showmance is SO boring, yawn yawn yawn. MTV needs to give Jemmye/Preston more screentime because this Eric/Sahar storyline is putting me to sleep...lmao.
molds13#24
SpoilerKnowing the current Jemmye/Knight situation makes this entire storyline pointless.

Did she just flash her jay jay AGAIN? Wow.
molds13#26
I know Ashlee's a basketball player and all, but watching her make 4 layups does not make me think she's anything outstanding.

This episode is a little disappointing. I thought the premiere was very entertaining, and although I like this season a lot better than the past few seasons, I do not like the fact that half of this episode was Dailies clips. Either use other footage for the Dailies and save the good stuff for the actual episode, or just don't show the same ****!
Mmmmm#28
I think they just put Ashlee's basketball scene in to make her seem more interesting... Kenzie has been missing in action for almost the whole damn episode.
blanky667#29
I've only seen the dailies of the arguments that happened last episode, so I guess thats why I'm enjoying this episode? =s LOL @ Knight.
molds13#30
Knight looks like he's lost a good 20-30 pounds from when he walked in the house to the time he left. Oh, and Jemmye just needs to shut up and **** Knight. We all know it's going to happen from the major storyline they're giving it...

Kind of a disappointing followup to the solid premiere. I've never cared much about budding romances on these shows, so the whole Jemmye/Knight and Eric/Sahar does nothing for me really. Although I do like all four still. I've seriously never rolled my eyes at someone on TV as much as I do with Ryan. He truly is one of the most insufferable people this show has ever cast.
