V1man sighting!

Haven't posted in a while... glad the ratings eventually went up. This season grew on me, it's gotten a lot better although the whole Exes concept got old after like the third episode. The cast is kind of lame honestly, there's a few people who are likeable (Brian, Jenny, Ashley/ex roommate, Hailey) with the exception of them everyone else in the house is annoying.

I actually enjoyed the season for the first half or so and then soon after the exes arrived it started to go down hill. Not because I didn't like the exes I just felt like the narrative got pretty weak and too many people were leaving. The ending is pretty meh so far. Over I felt it was a decent season but not as good as it should have been with the way it started.

I don't think I've seen the past 2 episodes on the night it aired, I watched them On Demand cause this season has become a chore to watch, IMO. It started off really well for me, but about halfway through its just like... boring. Same drama over and over between the same people about the same things. I'm ready for the challenge.

Honestly, for some reason the last episode was one of my favorites in a really long time. Lol I have no idea why. Jenny makes this show!

This episode Started off good but had a ho-hum ending.

MTV seems very pleased with this season. I have to think a season 30 renewal is imminent. If the show keeps trending up or the numbers stay current I think the show may survive at least a few more years.

They are in the midle of casting for season 30. ANyways, This reunion is boring so far.

The reunion was terrible. Also, was it just my TV or was the sound completely horrid

You were able to re-energize Real World. How much life is left in that franchise, and can you return to the traditional format? Truthfully, when I first got here I thought, "OK, we're doing season 28. Season 30 sounds like a good place to wrap this baby up." But now that we successfully launched Real World Ex-Plosion, I don't feel that way anymore. I feel like one day you're going to be interviewing someone in this seat that's going to be talking to you about season 50.

The Nielson ratings we get weekly are from an outdated system that does not provide 100% accurate results. The ratings average released by MTV (1.9 million) is likely correct. Rivals 2 averaged near 2 million an episode, despite the weekly ratings TVByTheNumbers posted each week being around 1.3 - 1.7 million.

It really is. Nielson reported 1.608 million viewers for the Rivals II finale, and in the season 25 renewal press release MTV confirmed that number was actually 2.2 million. Huge difference! That's not including DVR and online viewing either.
