Behind the Screen: Real World DC: Josh Colon

For over two decades, MTV's The Challenge has been the proving ground where reality TV's fiercest competitors come to cement their legacies. What started as a Real World/Road Rules spinoff has evolved into one of the most physically and mentally demanding competition series on television.

The franchise's expansion — with spinoffs in the USA, UK, Argentina, and Australia — speaks to a global appetite for the brand of cutthroat competition and alliance-driven gameplay that Vevmo's community has been tracking since 2007.

Good for you Wiggy. You seem to be producing more info than those "stalkers" anyway. ;)

Good! I'm starting to like your way of thinking :) And I'm sure they'll all like you (well some of them.)

Saw Josh, andrew, and ty all hooking up with different girls... AT THE SAME TIME at Rhino (of course) in August... josh was cheating on his girlfriend with some blonde girl, and andrew was also hooking up with some blonde girl.. ty was with the brunett, who he quickly dumped after.... I think I saw josh and andrew leave with their girls. Good job guys, putting those cameras to good use!

I walk past him when I was around the real world house. What they cant talk to people off the air or something?
behindme#67
Kev, they can...I walked past the house and talked to Andrew. There weren't any cameras around.

Josh's band, Wicked Liquid released their EP on Myspace this week. Should be hitting iTunes soon. I'm loving Exit Sign and War Cry. Wicked Liquid on Myspace

Just an observation, but I think josh tried out for the show prior to season 23? In his first RW dailie "Meet Josh" he is infront of a blue backdrop with long hair and a denim vest. During the premiere, he was shown again infront of a blue backdrop again, but with a totally different hair style and outfit. From what I've been reading about peoples past experience when they tried out, the blue backdrop is used during the semi-final interview and then the green back drop is used for the final interview. (The green backdrop is so they can add a background during editing, Josh is wearing a different outfit and hairstyle in that interview also.) So i'm assuming that he made it to the semi's for another season but was called back for the DC season. any thoughts? Nothing to argue about, I just thought it was interesting...

Josh looks like a hard *** rocker guy, but comes off as a nice guy in his dailies. Definitely liking him. I just hope he gets more air time throughout the season!
marquis#73
I like Josh, but just seeing the trailer and the premiere (he doesn't even say anything in the opening sequence) I don't think he'll get much airtime, or a storyline for that matter. But it's too early too tell. I hope I'm wrong because he really does seem like a genuine and unique person.

He doesn't say anything in the opening sequence?! I thought every cast member was able to say something..

Yeah I replayed it like four times. Maybe my hearing was bad, but it shows Josh with Andrew saying 'to find out' and then quickly goes over to Andrew continuing 'what happens'. It's pretty bizarre.

Josh's long-time girlfriend, Ashley, will be keeping a blog detailing her opinion on the season and what was going on behind the scenes, as well as how things are now with her and Josh: Dealing with Reality!

Josh says DC at the very end. Not much, but he still has a part.

Love her, she's such a doll!

Who's Josh? Oh, that guy that was in the background of some of the episodes this season? The guy that should stay in the background forever? Why would they ask him to do a challenge? I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm sure you know more than I do, I'm actually asking, WHY would they want him to do a challenge after not even finding him interesting enough to show on his season? Yay. So excited. (is the sarcasm translating?)
andrewsz1991#83
It's probably not Josh seeing as his band has a show on April 9

He was actually big this season. They went back to his home town. He was the one who followed his dreams in DC more than any other person. And everyone was in the background in SOME of the episodes this season.

Really? What episode was that in? From what I remember, he had two main storylines this season: the one with his band (where everyone commented how awful he was) and the one where he cheated on his girlfriend (where everyone commented how awful he was).
And everyone was in the background in SOME of the episodes this season.
But no one as much as him.

Not to mention whenever Josh was in the forefront I was begging that they'd put him back in the background where he belongs. ZzzZzZzz

Josh went back to his hometown in the last episode..but molds is right RDM1, Josh was BARELY in this season. Barely. I don't get how he was "big" at all this season...

Ha, but last episode was really good. Right up there with the Ryan going to war episode on Brooklyn. You won't be sorry if you go back and watch it, I promise. I think the problem has been Erika, because everyone was completely likeable last episode.

Did you miss last episode? They went to Philly. What was the storyline with the other cast members? He was the one was saw the most of with his singing. He worked the hardest out there. EDIT: whoops just read last post :D

He may have worked the hardest, but how much of that was shown on television? Barely any. Compare that to how hard Andrew worked trying to********. Who got more screen time?
