Maybe, all I know is that they started doing it on the first season of RHOC because of the orange-Orange County connection.

Yeah, I remember that, that was the only one I watched for awhile. Then I turned the channel one day and didn't realize they had like 8 different spin-offs. haha.

Haha, yeah their spin-offs are getting crazy! I've never really watched Desperate Housewives so I wouldn't know if they got the idea from that.

DH started in 2004, I forget when OC started but it must of been awhile ago cause I can't even remember what happened in season 1.

Desperate Housewives was 1st!! But yeah it does seem like they pick cities/states that have a fruit associated. Orange County, CA - Orange; New York City, NY - Apple; Atlanta, GA - Peach New Jersey and DC do not have anything!
