Behind the Screen: MTV Video Music Awards 2009

For over two decades, MTV's The Challenge has been the proving ground where reality TV's fiercest competitors come to cement their legacies. What started as a Real World/Road Rules spinoff has evolved into one of the most physically and mentally demanding competition series on television.

The franchise's expansion — with spinoffs in the USA, UK, Argentina, and Australia — speaks to a global appetite for the brand of cutthroat competition and alliance-driven gameplay that Vevmo's community has been tracking since 2007.

The funniest part of the night was at the end when Lil Mama walked on stage? *** was she doing? Someone put a video of them at the VMAs live on youtube and Jay-Z clearly said "You T-painin me now, huh?" PWNED. The jokes on twitter are hilarious.

Didn't Lil Mama sing that lip gloss song? Or was she the chicken noodle soup girl? I really don't remember.

Taylor's performance was actually prerecorded. Probably a good thing too as she was pretty upset.
I watched a behind the scenes special, making the 2009 VMA's. I know this is old news, but Taylor Swift's performance was not all prerecorded. Only the part on the the subway train was prerecorded. They were all talking about what a superb performer she was, to come out right after the incident happened and act like it never did.
