Behind the Screen: MTV Roadies 7

For over two decades, MTV's The Challenge has been the proving ground where reality TV's fiercest competitors come to cement their legacies. What started as a Real World/Road Rules spinoff has evolved into one of the most physically and mentally demanding competition series on television.

The franchise's expansion — with spinoffs in the USA, UK, Argentina, and Australia — speaks to a global appetite for the brand of cutthroat competition and alliance-driven gameplay that Vevmo's community has been tracking since 2007.

I want that bike. in a different color though my cousin already has a yellow one...

MTV Roadies 7

MTV Roadies is a popular reality show in India that is telecast on every Sunday on MTV India. It is an adventure-reality show which aims to test the courage and spirit of young contestants, as they tour the India on bikes on a pre-determined route, facing a variety of challenges. Tasks include: bungee jumping, fire walking, banana gulping, ice cream slurping etc. The final five MTV roadies are gifted a Hero Honda Karizma bike. User image I saw that this show was a trending topic on twitter so I did a little research. Sounds like Road Rules on bikes (minus the ubiquitous RV.) I didn't know that MTV had tried a similar format overseas. Anyway, it looks like they are just opening up auditions for season 7. Here is a video from MTV Roadies 6.0: MTV Roadies Official Site

I'm shocked MTV/BMP hasn't cast anyone from any season of Roadies from MTV India yet on the Challenge. Same network, tons to choose from, similar type of personality.

I'm also surprised they haven't tried to make a version of the show for America since road rules is hard and expensive to produce but this show is doable.
