Behind the Screen: MTV Gauntlet 3 Spoilers

For over two decades, MTV's The Challenge has been the proving ground where reality TV's fiercest competitors come to cement their legacies. What started as a Real World/Road Rules spinoff has evolved into one of the most physically and mentally demanding competition series on television.

The franchise's expansion — with spinoffs in the USA, UK, Argentina, and Australia — speaks to a global appetite for the brand of cutthroat competition and alliance-driven gameplay that Vevmo's community has been tracking since 2007.

Robin contacted Aneesa and apologized. I have every reason to believe the apology was sincere. I think "drunk and stupid" were the operative words used.
Sounds like from the "Best 25 moments show" that Aneesa did not accept that apology. Oh well.... BTW: I noticed a video for "Sexiest Women of Reality TV (2007)" on rapidshare today (and subsequently found a few torrents.) I was actually just looking for a site that might have more info on Johanna's situation with Wes and instead ran into your intellectual property being hawked. Better get those DMCA take down orders ready!

It's so bad we have DCMA letters that are "fill-in-the-blank." Actually I love it when people don't take them down because then we send them an invoice. The can pay us or get prosecuted. The debt collection companies are beginning to have fun with it, too. It's not exactly the income stream in our business plan, but it keeps the lights on and the coffee flowing.

Hmmmm so I am wondering if Evan becomes as big of a lunatic bad sport as CT? That's just what we need.

I could see it happening. As hard as he tried with his good guy persona on previous challenges, in real life (just chatting with him briefly) I got the impression he could be a real ***. I don't think it would be that much of a stretch for him to become a CT clone (albeit a bit smarter.)

Weird.....sounds like he is blowing smoke to me. I don't think we are going to see Mr Banana's again until the Real World Awards in a few months. :D

Yeah, I'm pretty sure he just means that he is planning on becoming a challenge ***** and will be back for more, not so much this season. Janelle said it in her exit interview as well, so maybe it's just something they say to make themselves feel better about their early departures. ;)

Coral is going to quit. She will beat Beth in the Gauntlet and send her home. Then later she will quit when her team wants to throw her in the gauntlet again because she is sick of the B.S and the games.
Katiedid#72
That makes me sad. I think it would be interesting if Coral, Rachel, and Veronica all came back to a challenge together. I would like to see if they could reclaim their thrones of baddest******* on the challenge, or if the Fresh Meat and the rest of the newer challenge ****** would even blink an eye to send them packing.
OtherPplsDrama#73
I like Coral too. But I'm sure you can only take so much especially when you've been in this 'game' so long!

Oh, and I don't like Veronica at all! Left a bad taste in my mouth when she stole from Pua on her original season! *tsk*

I reserve the option to differ with you later regarding Beth "losing" to Coral. I first need to view the Ep 5 edit to see if they include the critical conversation between Beth and Coral about which one of them should stay to deal with the guys.

Mmm-hmm. My bad, I think what I read just said something along the lines of "Coral sends Beth home". But it would make sense that they'd have a plan... P.S...V1Man....Has BMP considered a study on the correlation between ego and the number of challenges one has been on??? What is Evan's deal!? LoL

Evan will keep doing challenges until he becomes the spokesman for The Hair Club for Men.

So you are saying G3 is his last challenge? ;)

From your lips to God's ear... It's probably too much to hope for. Personally, I think Beth looks great at 39. I shudder to even imagine what evan, Ct or kenny will look like at 39. Perhaps Wes Craven could hire them for something then and forgo the cost of a makeup artist.

^^^ V1man, I read an article about Real World producers trolling Ivy League schools for classier cast members. It sounds like they are ready to give up the Trisha's and move more towards the Kameelah's. Oh, and you can't watch this and tell me Parisa isn't capable of doing more than PBS. Just click on it. http://youtube.com/watch?v=F4rImahefrw Come on now, you have to admit there's some potential. Why doesn't MTV use their Real World/ Road Rule finds for TRL. I miss the outrageous vj's that actually had personalities. I think almost any of the cast members would be better than Damien.

Yeah I agree...what ever happened to the VJ search they used to do...Most of the people on MTV are so dull now a days...I don't even watch TRL anymore. I winder whatever happend to that one kid Jesse that won one of the VJ searches...the guy who was homelessbefore he got hired...he was a mess BUT he had personality.
Bacchus#84
It looks like Jesse is not up to much. I saw him on TMZ a few weeks ago. This is from Wikipedia:
Camp held his position as an occasional TRL host for one year. Upon leaving he attempted to parlay his MTV fame into a music career, announcing the debut album of his band Jesse & the 8th Street Kidz on the Hollywood Records label. The album sold poorly, and Camp's band was soon dropped from the label. In late 2006, he was reportedly working at a Los Angeles-area pet supply store.
MTV VJ Jesse Camp
Stacee_Danielle#85
yeah I checked out his wikipedia after I posted that...little liar was never homeless, he lied for sympathy...perhaps Johnny Fairplay learned from him, LOL

I thought PBS was classy? I just don't want to see her on MTV or VH-1. Her character/personality is just too complex to know how to pitch her to prospective investors or to advertisers. I may have missed the announcement, but I was told that MTV would be bringing Coral in on contract to do "Coralvision" and other hosting.

really, that would be soemthing that I would watch if they did it right...Really they should have her do interviews instead of Susi (is that her name?)...Coral would be more entertaining.

What's complex? Has it been that long since MTV had somebody on that was actually intelligent? How hard is that? Girls don't relate to folks like Trisha and Trishelle. We like our non-threatening girls next door like Reese Witherspoon. I mean really how hard is it to sell the pretty girl that actually has a brain, and some class to boot. I'm just saying watch her be MTV's Jennifer Hudson. The one that nobody thinks will do anything, and ends up doing very well on their own accord.
RockSteadyVybes#89
haha so i broke down and spoiled the rest of the challenge for myself. meh. i couldnt take the loss of Derek. This challenge, now knowingi the results....is just a bunch of bullshit. i mean im glad the end happened the way it did.....but it just seems so BOGUS.

For MTV and VH-1 it is a very tough sell to advertisers and investors. Layered personalities (which is what I meant by complex) are just difficult to sell because investors and advertisers want to minimize risk. They want to know that what they are buying is predictable. She probably also has a future in new media, but that is not a market that is yet making anyone money (other than the softwear and server owners), and consequently I have no expertise in it to have more than an outsider's opinion. I'm sure that when I get aound to meeting Parisa somewhere, we will end up having interesting discussions about politics, the history of the Persian Gulf, and the NY Time best seller list. Hence: fit for PBS (or BBC America) both of which I watch for entertainment. The rest of the channels are just "work."
