I'm really surprised that they began shooting season five almost immediately after returning from Italy. I remember reading on TMZ that the cast was actually unaware that MTV had this shooting schedule in mind, so maybe Vinny's departure is because he had a club appearance or speaking engagement that he couldn't get out of. Perhaps we'll see him return.

I also heard, well rather seen on Fox 5 that a fight happened and Vinny got tired of them always arguing or fighting and wanted out. Really ironic if he pulled an Angelina and left.

That doesn't mean he won't come back. This was all reported to us the same way last time when Sammi left. She returned later that weekend.

I don't think anyone really thought Mike wouldn't come back, he likes the money and fame way too much to turn it down just because he is least liked.

HIGHLY doubt that. People will watch anything and if the Jersey shore name was connected to it i am pretty positive it would have lots of viewers. As much as I say i wouldnt want to watch it, i know curiosity would get the best of me and i would and then get hooked.

According to EW, their newest movie will be called "Jersey Shore Shark Attack." (Yes, some of us wish that would really happen too.) Believe it or not, this film has some big names. Paul Sorvino will be hitting the beach, along with Joey Fatone from 'N Sync, William Atherton and Tony Sirico. Don't worry. The original show will be represented. Vinny Guadagnino from "Jersey Shore" is part of the cast as well. In case the title wasn't descriptive enough, here is the synopsis. Rare swarms of sharks are hitting the Jersey shore because of illegal underwater drilling, leaving the locals to save the day. (Thanks for the environmental message, Syfy.) Captain Sallie (Sirico) is a local in touch with boardwalk life, Moretti (Jack Scalia) is a former beach bum turned police chief. Sorvino is a corrupt Mayor and Atherton a greedy developer who wants to tear down the boardwalk and leave our poor guidos beach-less. Guadagnino plays ... get this ... a reporter and Joey Fatone plays himself. We wonder if the sharks will spit out anyone who uses too much self tanner

With the premier tonight, I can't decide whats more sad: That I, in my late twenties, will get sucked in yet again to another pointless season, or that this show is still pulling crazy high ratings for MTV. (For the record, my money is on me still watching...)
